does anyone have info on this program?

http://www.belmont.edu/nursing/accelerated_bsn/index.html

Is that the kind of info you are asking about? I'm enrolled and would be glad to help, but I need more specifics on what kind of info you are looking for.

is it a good one program? one that accepts minorities?do they have knowledgeable and caring staff. do they have graduates that go on to find jobs of any sort. where could i go to get my human anatomy I,II, and mircrobiology credits? i want to be able to get a quality education in these subjects

The program is one of (if not the) best in the area, and I'm not just saying that since I am in it. The facilities are all extremely nice (less than 4 years old), and lab sizes are small - anywhere from 6-12. The teachers are extremely amazing and very helpful. They all want each student to do their absolute best and will go to all ends in order to do so.

They do accept minorities, but I will say that the whole school is like 90% white, so take that as you will. I took my pre-reqs at Nashville State and they transfered no problem. I struggle a little with my AP, but I think that is just me because I have a classmate who took hers at NSCC and she does better than I do on that stuff.

Overall, I would say if you can afford it/want to go that much in debt, it is worth it. We hear from our teachers and from hospital staff that Belmont students are well prepared to enter the workforce (and they have a very very high NCLEX pass rate). The biggest downfall is the price, but there is no other true accelerated program in Nashville, so I just sucked it up and took the debt.

Around how much does it cost for the 16 months? Didn't seem like any of the classes where clinical type classes? Other programs seemed to have these. Is this a program for one with zero nursing experience and a bachelor's degree in a totally different field? At the end of the program do you just take the RN test and you are an RN? Sorry for all the questions!

The cost just went up, but I think it around $12,000 a semester for just classes. Then you have to account for books, gear, cost of living, etc. I don't know where you are looking, but this program has like 8 or 9 clinicals - anytime you see a 5 hour class, that is a clinical. Unlike other programs, you have a clinical you very first semester. And the accelerated program is for zero nursing experience with a previous bachelors in anything - we have people with business, biology, political science, psychology, etc. And yes, once you graduate you will be able to take the NCLEX to become an RN.

I know they look highly on prereqs, so I'm not sure how that one C will look. SAT and ACT don't matter much since you should already have another bachelors - I'm not even sure I sent mine.

I only took them once, so I do not know. You can talk to their admissions office, they are extremely helpful.

Hey! I have applied to Belmont for their Fast Track (the same as accelerated basically) and have been accepted on the condition that someone drops out for grades or financial reasons. Knowing that I have a chance really has me wondering if the program is worth it? I just visited the campus (GORGEOUS) and though I didn't meet with anyone from the nursing school, I'm just curious as to how rigorous the program really is? The fast track appealed more to me so I can work in a hospital during the summer and have a "break" from the accelerated curriculum. I hope you are doing well, surely have graduated or are about to! Thanks in advance for any input you can provide :).
