  1. Hi, can someone tell me about the hours in the nights and weekends classes? Also, are clinicals on Saturday, Sunday, or both? What are the hours for clinicals? How is everyone doing in either program? I'm thinking about applying, but I'm not sure which one. Do most students make it through the program or do several fail out? Thanks, any info is appreciated.

  3. So much awesome advice in this thread. Thanks! For you visual learners, try out mind mapping using the iThoughts app.
  4. Hi everyone!I'm interested in the CU mt Juliet program. Have any of you attended there? Thanks
  5. Tonight, went to the "information night" or whatever you call it. I was told that if you make below a 75 in ANY of your classes, you're out of the program. I'm having a hard time bringing myself to pay for tuition that is that expensive when I could fail out because I got sick and missed 3 days or a week of class. They don't have a normal-paced BSN program to fall back on in Hendersonville. You're either in or out. There seems to be no in between. This sucks.
  6. I've heard good things about this place. I've only been inside once to visit a client (as a social worker). The psych unit seems a little dated but not too bad. Everyone was nice for the most part. One of the psychiatrists was sort of a jerk. I would definitely recommend living somewhere other than Madison. Traffic is always congested and has been progressively more dangerous over the past decade or two. I would recommend living in Hendersonville, Goodlettsville, or White House if you don't want to live in Nashville or Madison. Let me know if you have more questions.
  7. Ok, I got selected for an interview! I was wondering how hard the TEAS test is. Also, umartin, how are things going? How much time do you spend studying outside of class?
  8. I'm confused. I though the program is 15 months long, but you're graduating in December?
  9. My wife is a nurse so I know all about working holidays lol. I guess I meant like how long do you get off for Thanksgiving and Christmas? Are the instructors at your campus helpful and nice? Also, what all did they ask you in your interview with them before you were accepted? I should be hearing back this week or next if I've been selected.
  10. Thanks for the info. Unmartin, is the subject matter tough, the amount I work or both? What kind of breaks do you get?PS- I'm a guy
  11. I'll check it out. Has anyone heard any stories about students getting mixed up with unaccredited schools? Thanks for the info
  12. I've tried calling and emailing, but they're really busy. I didn't know if someone on this site knew anything about this. Thanks for your wise advice, though.
  13. The nursing school I'm applying to is opening up a new campus close to home, so naturally I want to attend school there. The main university is CCNE accredited. Does this mean the new campus or extension of the university will automatically be CCNE accredited as well? Do new school locations have to apply to become accredited, or is it still under the "umbrella" of the main campus? If they do have to become accredited, how long does that take? What does that mean for a nursing student? Thanks! I just don't want to make a big mistake!
  14. :cough: go to med school :cough:
  15. Does anyone know what the average TEAS score is? I know it varies from school to school, but what is the average standard TEAS score to enter nursing school? Sort of how most nursing programs want students with a 2.75 or 3.0 gpa.
