  1. @Starla, I sent in my letter the day after I received it! Christina called me last week, registration is done in one-hr blocks between 12-6 on the 20th. I'm scheduled in the first hour. She said they would be sending letters as it got closer with more info, but I haven't received anything yet!
  2. My insurance covers immunizations, which I'm up to date on, but not the blood tests to prove immunity. I called the dean's office in hopes I could provide just the immunization form, but they require both the form, and the titer lab report. I got those back today, thankfully. I still need my health assessment and TB skin test, though!
  3. Oh my gosh, I love that guy! He's always been super helpful in person lol. I hope she gets back to you soon, it's so frustrating in the meantime! Have you started on your list of things we have to submit yet? My insurance won't cover the titer draws, I called 13 clinics Monday, and Shots, Etc. in Bellevue was the cheapest at $240, just in case that helps. I'm taking my CPR class the morning of the 11th, I'm gonna be broke before we even register!
  4. The ONLY way I could get through to Christina was to email her, she responded within the hour, after 2 months of leaving phone messages. Apparently she is SWAMPED! I finally called admissions yesterday and explained that I had called financial aid 10+ times with no answer or response, and she put me through to Megan in the fa office, she called me back a few hours later and helped me out! Try emailing Christina!
  5. Ahhh @Starla, are you stressed out? I must have missed the post in which you said you weren't planning to attend until Spring! You poor thing, I hope you aren't too stressed. I hope financial aid can help you out, I have been emailing/calling them for 3 days with NO response! I may just go to the school tomorrow and try to talk to someone, too. I know they did tell me that you can apply for the endowed scholarships every semester, and they put out a list of 50+ in the fall, I am not sure how long the list is in the spring, but I'm going to apply for every penny I can! I did my pre-reqs at Nashville State, I almost fell out of my chair when I found out what CU's tuition was.
  6. @Starla, I'm super close, in MJ. The deadline for the endowed scholarships was April 1st, have you met with financial aid yet? I have a pell grant and a transfer scholarship that is GPA-based, so that may be worth checking in to! Are you close? You may try to meet with them prior to registration, just to get an idea. I've never made an appt with financial aid, I've always just walked in and met with someone in the office. Like you, I can NEVER get anyone on the phone!
  7. They actually have nutrition and statistics factored into two of the semesters, maybe the second and third? I took statistics at NSCC, but haven't had Nutrition yet. :)
  8. I know the requirements for the Lebanon campus are different than the MJ site, Lebanon allows you to enter into the program with less than 10 credit hours of pre-reqs left, but I think MJ requires you to have completed all of your pre-reqs. However, I don't think Intro to Nursing is a pre-req, I was under the impression that the Intro class is part of the first semester of the program. My cumulative GPA is a 4.0, and my HESI scores ranged from 89-97%, I am unsure of what my official average was, though.
  9. @Starla, Congrats to you, too! I have my second Spanish and college Algebra left to take, I wanted to take the CLEP test and get out of Algebra, but I need to be "full-time" to get my grant money. @CUbsnHopeful, I do not know anyone attending or trying to attend the MJ campus, but I would imagine they would send you a letter regardless of acceptance. How were your GPA/HESI scores? From what I have heard, CU has a pretty high acceptance rate, so I would still be optimistic! You could always call the admissions department, they can access your record and let you know, and they usually do it on the spot, instead of having to wait on a return call or email from the nursing deptartment! Did either of you apply for endowed scholarships? If so, have you heard anything?
  10. I just received my acceptance letter Saturday for Cumberland University's BSN program, I will be attending the traditional day classes at the Lebanon campus. I am super nervous about the "unknown," but more excited than anything. Are there any other CU fall nursing students on this forum, or any graduates of the program who can offer any inside information? Thanks!
