Nursing Students School Programs

Published

I thought I would start this thread so we can exchange information and experiences while applying to the Bellevue College nursing program! I saw that forums have been created for previous years and have been helpful for those applying!

Hello everyone,

If you all don't mind me asking, what were your GPAs? Did that matter at all toward acceptance to the program? Was the decision based solely on TEAs scores? Does anyone know if anyone got accepted to the program with just the minimum 3.0 GPA?

Bellevue only looks at the TEAS score and makes sure you've met the minimum requirements. They rank applicants based on their score and use GPA to decide between two applicants in case they have a tie.

Nice, So as long as I have the minimum of 3.0 requirement I should concentrate more on the TEAs test?

BC looks at TEAS scores alone unless there is a tie. They would then look at GPA of those who were tied. For example, they plan on accepting 10 people with a TEAS score of 86, but there are 20 people with that score. They will then take the 10 people with the highest GPAs of the group.

Yes. Shoot for a TEAS score of 90 and you should be good.

I realize I never introduced myself. I applied for admission into fall quarter full time. I've been working applying for nursing school the past year, it took me a few years at Bellevue to figure out what I really want to do. Currently taking my CNA class and going to look for a job right after to start working around nurses and gain experience. My long term goal is to continue to get my BSN then eventually grad school and work as an NP, maybe work as a traveler in between. I'm interested in hearing about everyone else's long/short term goals and why you chose nursing school.

I'm currently working as an EMT in Seattle and am also hopeful for full time fall quarter. I really enjoy pediatrics, so my ultimate goal is to work with them in some regard. I also hope to eventually get my NP.

How did everyone feel about the application process and everything? One month (almost) of waiting, two more to go! We can do it!

Lots of views but nobody's talking! You guys are an awfully quiet bunch...

TEAS score is the main criteria for choosing, but I was told that this is the last quarter for that. Next round of admissions are apparently going to be more balanced (like other local schools do)...

Do you mind sharing did you take your CNA at BC? If so what did you think of it? I am currently researching programs and considering BC for my RN so would love anything you can share of your experiences!

I took my CNA course at the Nursing Assistant Training Institute in Shoreline. It came highly recommended by other CNA's I know and the program is cheaper and shorter than a quarter at BC. It was a good program and the skills teachers got right to the point. Here is the link to their website: Nursing Assistant Training Institute |

Hi guys. I'm a first quarter nursing student at BC. My TEAS score was 85.3. From what I've heard, that was probably the lowest without being wait listed. We did pick up a lot of students of the wait list though, right up until a few weeks before class started. I took my NAC training at BC and it really helped me a lot with this quarter. If you have questions I can help with (unofficially of course) I'll peak in from time to time. Good luck!
