Bellevue College 2015-2017 Nursing Hopefuls

I thought I would start this thread so we can exchange information and experiences while applying to the Bellevue College nursing program! I saw that forums have been created for previous years and have been helpful for those applying!

Haven't received anything yet either for Winter--not sure if we'll get an email or snail mail about it.

Your acceptance letters should have instructions on paying a deposit. After that you just wait. Since you can't pay fir the quarter until you can register the rest comes later for winter cohort.

I saw that some of Fall cohort mentioned they were filling out paperwork needed for the first clinical assignments--would anyone be willing to share what that's about with us Winter cohort, as it sounds like you have your clinical assignments already ?!

2kat- it's basically background checks and other paperwork whatever your assigned clinical location requires to be done prior to the start of the program.

Which fundamentals textbook do we use? I know orientation is tomorrow but I'm at a place that has some good deals.

Would anyone from Fall cohort be willing share your thoughts about your orientation with those of us in Winter cohort? What was it like? Did you get your books today?

Hey 2kat,

There was a ton of information. We were given clinical placements, a draft of the calendar for our first quarter and got to meet a few of our instructors. We also recieved the book list for our first quarter and the codes for our uniforms. They really care about our success in the program and even answered questions about the RN to BSN program. We also get to start in the new T building come Fall so you can look forward to that. We were told that 172 people applied and both our cohorts are the top 64 applicants so I'm proud of all of us that got accepted. We worked hard for it. Thanks Jessemariano! Did they have the book bundles to buy at that time? That's great that they have already given you the calendar for first quarter--they seem really organized. What were the other clinical placements out there? I saw there were some people that posted VA and Nikkei Manor--thanks for answering the questions!
