Bellevue College hopefuls 2014-2015

Published

Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.

Is anyone else applying to BC for Fall 2014/Winter 2015 cohorts? I'm getting nervous with the deadline less than two months away. I did all my pre reqs there and it's my first choice school which probably adds to the nerves a bit. Are any of you finished with the application process yet? I think it's nice that this year, the background check is after the initial application just for the sake of saving money if I didn't score high enough on my TEAS to get in.

A previous comment made me nervous about having to use a typewriter for our clinical forms. I did a little research and there are various programs you can download that have typewriting features on the computer. A little less stressful now!

I don't think any of us have used typewriters for any our clinical paperwork. Some of them are in PDF form and can be filled in on the computer, and others can be neatly filled in by hand. I wouldn't worry about it.

When is the fall orientation? If someone could report back, I would like to know more about this typewriter situation.

Hello! Fall orientation is on the 27th of this month. Also, you can easily fill out the forms on a computer using Adobe reader. A typewriter is NOT required at all. Just open the document on your computer using Adobe reader and all the fields you need to fill out should be highlighted. Its actually extremely simple to do :)

You really do not need a typewriter. I am not sure where that idea came from. Any forms that you will need to type are PDF or Word Docs and can be done on the computer.

Thanks for the info. The idea seemed slightly preposterous, but of course, had me a tad worried.

:)

Thanks UWHuskies for keeping us informed. :)

Specializes in None yet..

The idea came from an email that Melissa Meinhofer send with clinical forms attached that said, "The VA paperwork needs to be typed."

Just open the attached forms and fill them out on the computer.

Anyone else still need to get their CNA? I'm trying to decide where to take it

I'm in the same boat. Does anyone know how long it takes for an exam to be scheduled? Getting worried, I won't make the August 31st deadline.

See ya Fall guys tomorrow!
