Bellevue College 2012 hopefuls

Hello everyone,

I have just applied to Bellevue College for Fall 2012/Winter 2013 and I just want to hear from anyone who has also applied there. What are your TEAS scores? Do you guys know when we will hear back regarding acceptance/ rejection letters? Is Bellevue College your first choice or are you guys spreading out your applications to other schools?

Yeah, I've made plans to pay it by the 15th, just in case. I just thought I remembered hearing in the info session that we don't have to pay until school starts. Though it was an early info session, and i went on very little sleep...

I remember her saying something along the lines of "Since you need to be in the program to sign up for the classes, you can't be dropped, since no one can take your seat."

Hey guys...it's been pretty quiet here lately! Just a heads up, in case you don't have your scrubs yet: I just stopped in at Life Uniforms (happened to be in the area, so thought I'd drop in and see what they had). Apparently they had some sort of shipping issue with Cherokee brands, so are having a hard time with keeping a good supply of some of their scrubs. (the way she explained it was a little confusing....) Anyways, obviously Acorn has their discount, so if you can, they're a better option, but if you are planning on looking at Life, you might have a bit of difficulty finding what you need. (I stopped at Acorn on the way home and picked up my scrubs though, so that's one more thing checked off my list!!) :)

My financial aid letter just came in today! Tuition paid, and financial aid check's in the mail. Once I get that deposited, I can finally get all my school supplies paid for!

Wow that seems so much earlier than in years past! Perhaps theyre realizing that releasing $$ at the last minute only causes everyone more headaches!!

Yeah I apparently turned in the paperwork a week late so this is a "week late" I guess it did miss the Aug 15th deadline.

Hello everyone! Long time no talk :)

I am very excited for the Bellevue Fall 2012 cohort, especially since you guys are going to be starting school soon. Good luck and I hope you guys totally take advantage of the rest of your summer days before the craziness of nursing school begins :)

On a different note, I would just like to ask the Fall 2012 cohort if you guys have already received reading and workbook assignments that need to be done before coming to class. I have been reading the General Nursing Student section of allnurses.com and I couldn't help but notice that a lot of nursing school across the country have already started to assign pre-nursing school homework. Are you guys in the same boat?

If not, have you guys done any preparation before the start of class on Sept. 18? Or are you just going to enjoy the rest of the summer with friends and family?

Hi Margritamix!

We had an orientation in June, where we were told we would receive the first couple of modules before school started. We received an email recently with the first 2 modules for the class. They included recommended reading and assignments. Not an overwhelming amount of work though. My preparation also includes notifying all of my family and friends that I will be pretty much unavailable for the next 2 years!!! LOL!!!

For those starting in winter, lessons learned already!!! I went to get started on the modules, and realized I completely missed one of the required textbooks on our list! LOL! I consider myself pretty attentive to detail, but I suppose when there's a list that long, one is bound to miss something! Oh well, it's on its way now! Oh, and be prepared, calendars/schedules that you receive are subject to change!
