Bellevue College 2011 hopefuls

Thought I would put this thread up for those of us who have applied to BC RN program.

I know we won't find out until mid-April if we made it or not, but how did everyone do on the TEAS test???? I have heard alot of horror stories about test scores.

Hi everyone,

I just wanted to check in with you regarding the following question. We are supposed to get confirming check marks on our account pages at

getstarted.bellevuecollege as soon as the program receives required material. Although I have submitted all necessary documents, I still do not see any confirmation for "Immunizations", "Background Check" and "Criminal History".

Do you have these check marks?

Hi Karolina2011,

I just checked my online application and there are no checks by those items. I am guessing that the checks are only for the items completed through the BC website.

April still feels so far away! Good luck!

Shrub1997, thank you so much for your reply! Good luck to you too!

No problem! I know I keep second guessing every little thing waiting. It's tough to know that there is nothing left to do but wait! I keep trying not to think about it.

@RoseRNHopeful, I took version 5 at Bellevue College. I have no idea how they will handle that. You may want to contact someone in the nursing department. They are usually so helpful. I hope that it works out for you!

Unfortunately, I think you really need the version V because considering their acceptance is based solely on your TEAS score I don't think they would be able to fairly to evaluate the score from a completely different test amongst all of the other scores, especially if one test is harder than another. At last at the info session they seemed to really stress that it had to be that version. The best option is to contact them because we are all just guessing.

On another note, does anyone know how many people usually apply? At the info sesh they said they admit 36 in the fall and 36 in the winter.

I had a horror story from the first time I took my TEAS in December at Bellevue. School wasn't even in session and the fire alarm went off and none of the test administrators knew what to do... it was horrible. Once I got to start my test again my entire rhythm was messed up. The second time went a lot smoother. I got a 90 so given all my other paper work is fine I hope to get in! I'm just really getting anxious and want to hear back.

I checked with the dept and they said that for this admission, they are accepting 4.0 for this application period. This is probably because they might not have realized that some of the approved schools were still administering it and telling applicants that it would be accepted. Disqualifying half of the applicants because of this unforseen complication would probably lead to a riot. (with all of the fees associated with the application, who would not be furious if they were told that they were disqualified because of an error on the schools part! they have since corrected the application info sheet to specify version.)

Unfortunately, that means that some people will get in because they took an easier test and will slide by. Congrats to them as i am sure they are going to make equally good nurses. but, i dont think i am one of them. I did take the 4.0 version but i scored a 91 which is higher than almost all of those admitted last year based on that test.

If it went by percentile, then comparing should not be an issue. top 1% is top 1% no matter if that score is a 91 or an 88. you know what i mean? We all took STATs so i will not go into it too much.

Anyway, Good luck to everyone!!!

Hello everyone, they are accepting both version 4 and 5, and they are looking at percentile and not individual scores. This information was given to me by the nursing dept. at Bellevue. Hopefully this helps reassure those that took 4 it will be accepted, and those that took 5 that they are not being penalized as 5 is indeed a harder test.

The wait is killing me!!! Does anyone know when they are sending these replies out?!

I was told mid-April. I am getting tired of waiting too!!!

Me too! so do you guys think it will come in the snail mail or email?

I'm glad I found this thread. The waiting is killing me! I thought I read early April so I've been checking my mail like a crazy person every day. Also glad to hear that they are taking the different TEAS versions into account.

Last April we got acceptance letters in the mail. Good Luck!
