Nursing Students SRNA

Updated:   Published

Has anyone heard of this school? It looks like they're not accredited yet but not sure how long that takes or the likelihood. Anyone apply to this school or was a pilot cohort before like this? Is it pretty safe to apply to new programs like this? It looks like the cycle just ended for their first cohort.

That's wonderful!

Did they say anything in the informational sessions about a sim lab?

I have an interview here also. Louisville is a great area and I like that the clinical sites are all in the same area.

I actually found my notes from the info session in January and they specifically said they do have a sim lab ?

Hi! I applied as well, waiting to hear back. For those that have heard back already, about how long after submitting did you get a response?

When did you apply? I applied in early January and received an email early last week.

I applied in mid January and heard very shortly after the deadline. I wouldn't draw any firm conclusions about anything so far -- remember, this is the first year it's happening so there's no pattern yet. Stay strong! ?

I applied too, Two days before the deadline. They said you should expect an interview invite by March 1. Haven't heard anything yet.

I haven't heard anything yet either. I saw that someone called and they said they are still going through apps, so fingers crossed!

I submitted my application on 14th of February and I haven't heard anything back either. For those that applied and got an interview are you able to give us some stats.

I don't have any particularly outstanding stats, around a 3.5 GPA, 2 years ICU experience (8 years total RN experience), CCRN, but I do have three very strong recommendations and significant research experience from undergrad.

I don't have an outstanding stats either! Almost 4 years cvicu experience, CCRN. Not sure about strong recommendations but I got 1 from a CRNA, co-worker and nurse manager. It's stressful not knowing what to expect.

It is totally, totally stressful. And obviously we're all working pretty intense jobs right now too, LOL. But if it helps, I applied to two other places, got rejected at one prior to interview, waitlisted at another, and it was disappointing at first but turned out to be the best possible outcome, weirdly enough.

It's so hard to say. It's a vulnerable time in our lives. But the only thing we can do is try our best, and one day we will be on the short list at the exact right school for us. ?

You are very wise! Just what I needed to read. I will try my best. Thanks for the encouragement.
