I know there are a bunch of threads floating around but I thought it would be nice to have one "YAY, I'm in!!" thread for Fall 2009.

I just received my acceptance to Charity School of Nursing in New Orleans for the Fall 2009 semester!

Does anyone attend Cochran School of Nursing, Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing or Norwalk Community College. I have been accepted to 2, waiting on the 3rd, and trying to make an education decisionwhere to attend. Any feedback would be apprceciated.

Hello Everyone,

I am knew to this site and I wanted to share my good news. I have been accepted to Emory University in Atlanta, Ga for Fall 2009. I got the letter in the mail today. I am so ecstatic. I am 29 years old, I'm a wife and a mother of 5 children. If I can do it, anyone with drive and determination can do it. :D

I just joined this site today and I am thrilled to say that on my birthday in February I found out about my acceptance into the Emory Nursing school in Atlanta. It has been a long road to this point but I am so excited to finally be able to fulfill my dream of becoming a nurse! I am a wife and mother of 3, I know that there is a lot of work ahead of me, but I look forward to the challenge!

Looks like were going to me classmates! Are you done with your pre-reqs yet? I'm taking my last 3 this semester. I'm still very excited, can't wait. It's going to be a challenge, but if we can raise kids, we can do anything. LOL

Thank goodness I am all done with my pre-reqs...I am taking a couple of humanities classes because I wanted to make myself marketable to different schools. Are you going to apply to any other schools? What classses are you taking to fininsh your pre-reqs? I am so nervous and excited all at the same time! I wish I could talk to a current student at emory so I could see what's instore for me. Have you applied for any scolarships yet?

This semester I'm taking Microbiology, Sociology, Statistics, and art. I am so glad that I will get to take a break over the summer. I didn't apply to any other schools as Emory was the only school I wanted to go to. By the grace of God, I was admitted. I found out about my acceptance back in December, so I've had a little more time to let the good news sink in. I applied for the Woodruff and the NEAT scholarship, what about you? There is another thread in the Georgia Forum where a few of the current Emory students post, if you want to ask some questions.

I applied for the Woodruff only, I plan to apply for the neat scholarship also, which I really need to complete before the end of the week cause I think that the deadline is coming quickly! I too am looking forward to having the summer off before the maddness of Nursing school begins. Are you concerned any about student loans and funding for school. How do I find that other thread? Do you know?

I'm not really worried about the money for school. I figure between my school loans, grants, and scholarship money, I should be okay. I also applied for the service cancelable loans. The way to find the other forum is to go to the Region Tab...click on United States.... scroll down to Georgia. There you will find plenty threads about schools in Ga.

I'm in!!

I was accepted into SUNY-Downstate for Summer '09.

It seems so strange that I'm a real live nursing student now. It took me forever to get through pre-reqs because I wanted to take things slow for the sake of my family.

Of course, there won't be any taking things slow now since I'm going into an accelerated program, but at least I have 3 months to prepare everyone.
