I have a bachelors degree in social work, and went back to get an associates in nursing, am an RN, and want to get a certification in wound care. Can someone explain to me the different programs available, and if any can be completed with my current degrees or do I have to go back for the bachelors in nursing? Thank you!

It might depends on where you work and or where you live. One of my girlfriends is an LPN and she is a wound care nurse making $45 an hour AND, I know a lot of RNs' who have diploma and associate degrees and they are wound care nurses as well so I would check with that.
They may be working as "wound care nurses," but the OP asked specifically about certification. The national certification requires a baccalaureate degree to be eligible.

DivaLaJuicy: where does your friend live? I am an LPN, almost RN, and I would love to do wound care! I am in Seattle, WA.

Refer to this sticky thread. One of the links explains the difference in available wound care certifications.
