BCIT August 2014 Applicants

Seeing as it's almost time for the start of the August 2014 intake applications, I figured it apt to start this thread now.

This will be my second time applying (applied previously for august 2013).

Currently working on finish my second A&P course and will be finishing my undergraduate degree next semester!

It says you only need CPR hcp....you dont need first aid..and yes the WHMIS is super easy!!.... has the facebook group been created yet I cant find it.... ???? And does anyone know if we can apply for the student loan yet?????

I can't find the facebook group either haha. By the way, has anyone started to buy books yet? I'm kind of overwhelmed with the number of books we have to purchase!

I know I was going to start looking into that tomorrow...we have a lot of readings to do for the first day of class...

Did you guys get a book list? And already tons of reading? Did they send you an email with pre reading to do before the start of the program?

Yah you will probably get an email tomorrow to sign into your desire2learn. In there is the nursing orientation in pdf form and all the information you'll need to know about the program and the pre readings

Haha! To find our group, search bcit nursing and then just scroll down till you find bcit nursing aug 2014! U'll need your bcit email ad, and u will also have to verify it!

Yup I'm planning on getting them used too. I've been looking at the BCIT Nursing group but a lot of the books are the older editions

Yeah I'm also wondering about the older editions... I guess it would really depend on the instructor. But from what I've heard from someone in the program, many people use one edition back without problems.

I only bought one book so far, the 1st Canadian edition of the Physical Examination book because that's what's listed in the pre-reading list (even though it says 2nd edition on the booklist!?) and omg sooo much pre-reading lol....
