Wanted to start a forum for NP applicants for the 2026 school year. I've applied to TRU and UNBC. Background is in nursing station work in northern BC and primary care with 10 years experience.
@ERNurseHailey Hi! Can you keep me updated on what you hear back?
I am on a similar boat. I think I am stuck on improving my GPA, I've done the stats course. Im originally from Alberta and done very well in the last 2 years of my schooling only getting As and Bs but when my GPA was converted it seemed quite a bit lower than expected. Ofcourse due to personal things did very poorly in my schooling the first 2 years which I think a lot of my credits were pulled from due to the number of pass/fail courses in my final years. I feel stuck as I hope to get in, and asked but cannot find clear answers on what courses to take to help me boost up my GPA.

The most valuable information I was given was to take upper-level courses, so anything about 200 level. I have since enrolled in my Master's of nursing to try and an increase my overall GPA!

They prioritize indigenous students. Or those who are local to Kamloops/interior and plan to stay here and work local after graduation as well or who want to work indigenous communities after.
