Hi all! I was wondering if any of you are working something called a Baylor shift. I was called today to interview for this type of position. I think it could be a great opportunity to work only on the weekends and have Mon-Fri dedicated to school. No kids, just hubs and I. Do you like having the week to focus on school? I am used to doing 3 12's prior to my bridge program, so I am thinking an extra 4 hours to two days minus a full 12 hour shift would be doable. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
I worked baylor while doing the LPN-RN bridge. I also had to do a third day. At first it was cool and stress free then, all of a sudden when I couldn't do the third day they would add more and more patients for me to see on the weekends. I went from 10 patients a day to about 18 per day. I was seeing about 36-42 patients in 3 days and most nurses could not see that many patients in 5 days. Needless to say I was happy when I gave my 2 weeks notice after graduating.

I am hoping that I get the job. If so I would definitely try to pick up an extra shift every week. I should find out next week. Fingers crossed!!
