Updated:   Published

Hey, I wanted to start this thread for all of us applying for any Baylor Scott & White locations to keep each other updated with responses and interviews. I applied for BUMC specifically.

Best of luck to you all! Hopefully we hear back quickly!!

Who is you’re recruiter? I was told that neuro was full already.

She sent an invite for an interview a few hours ago and I just got a call from her saying it was full... how convenient LOL.

Hi everyone. Is anyone still interviewing or waiting to hear back? I have an interview tomorrow morning for Neuro ICU...

I've always wanted to work in women's services and have verbally accepted an offer on an antepartum unit at a different hospital. I am trying to keep my options open because once you start in women's is hard to branch out. So I'm kind of stuck on what to do. Does anyone have a similar problem?

So I had a similar problem. I've always wanted peds and was so sure that I would end up working with kids even when I started interviewing. But now I'm going to be an ER nurse at a Baylor hospital. For me, it was more of feeling the vibe that the interviewers were giving you and if you think that they would be people you can work with. I was also so excited when I got my offer from BUMC that I knew that it was because I actually saw myself working there. I would say to go with your gut and how happy getting the job got you and also compare the pros and cons of each. Good luck!

Has anyone received an offer for BUMC NICU? ?

This was helpful... I decided on taking the offer from BUMC ?

Can someone PM me a good medical recruiter please?  I would like to find a remote LPN position

Has anyone accepted offers at BUMC? For ICU or any other units? Just wanting to see who else will all be at orientation.

I accepted a position on the cardiothoracic and transplant ICU at BUMC! Start date Jan. 31st. Eager to see who's all starting with us!

Hi everyone! I'm kind of late to the party LOL... But I will be moving from Louisiana to Dallas next month! I accepted a position at BUMC on the cardiothoracic and transplant ICU during my interview sometime in October. If you will be at BUMC starting Jan. 31st, please comment or message me! I'll be new to town so definitely looking to make new friends.

Has anyone else accepted a position on CTTICU? Does anyone know if Baylor reimburses us for NCLEX? How long are we in the classroom for the residency? I know how long the orientation is on my specific unit, but wasn't sure about the didactic portion.

Thanks everyone! I'm so excited and eager to meet everyone and begin this new chapter in our lives!

Is anyone in here starting in the MICU at BUMC? Would love to see who all is joining from this group!

you guys, part of me really wants to take back my offer and see if they’re still taking anyone for CTICU at BUMC, but I know moving really isn’t in the cards for me. but also want to just take a risk ? someone tell me they’ve filled up positions, so I can get it out of my system ? CTICU is the goal and I will be starting in PCU, but wish they had more to offer in Waco as far as CV is concerned.

also took my boards last week and passed! big relief!!

Congratulations on passing! What did you use to study? I have really bad test anxiety and am so nervous for the NCLEX.
also, does anyone know if we have to have the NCLEX by Jan 31?

I listened to mark k’s lectures (on Youtube) and used his notes that were put into a pdf file and UWorld! I did like their rationales! not sure about every location, but in my offer letter it stated that we had to have our RN the Wednesday before our start date and have passed. it also stated something about being placed as a patient care tech until we did pass?

OMG! Thank you for those notes! I’m going to start listening to his lectures. I got UWorld a week ago and the rationales are phenomenal, straight to the point.
I also did see that but IDK if I’m going crazy but I taught I was told we would have like 2-3 week grace period. But I guess not.
Hopefully I pass first try. Praying so much
