I’ll be in the MICU. It is mainly Covid patients but could be other types here and there.

I got an offer but definitely worried about being around covid patients every day

Which location are you working at? I can’t speak for all locations but MICU at temple has separated out from the COVID ICU(in the APSICU). I’ve heard / seen New grads are precepting in both so you’re not just learning about COVID patients. But it could all change depending on the patient population.

How do you feel about treating covid patients pretty much all the time?  Ik were in the healthcare field but I’m kind of hesitant

I know it will have it’s challenges each and every day. I’ve taken care of some Covid patients as a tech so I’ve gotten use to it to a certain extent. I can understand your hesitancy but we can run into Covid patients on pretty much any unit.  Even if you start in MICU, there is still room for growth opportunities. All really depends on where you see yourself long term.

I accepted my offer for Mclane Children’s in the NICU yesterday!! Apparently they are offering 10 positions all together since they are in need of more NICU nurses. Please DM or Comment if you also taking the position, I would love to connect with others !

OMG congrats!! unfortunately I didn’t get one after my interview with them, but was wanting to know how yours went? did you have any issues with the audio? I hate that I had to keep asking them to repeat themselves so I feel like it threw my interview off a bit /:

I'm so sorry to hear that!! Don't give up I actually have been rejected from a lot of jobs I've applied for, I know it's hard. I didn't have any issues with sound tho! I had my interview through teams if that makes a difference? The interview went well but they did hit me with some difficult questions!

Hi everyone. Is anyone still interviewing or waiting to hear back? I have an interview tomorrow morning for Neuro ICU...

I've always wanted to work in women's services and have verbally accepted an offer on an antepartum unit at a different hospital. I am trying to keep my options open because once you start in women's is hard to branch out. So I'm kind of stuck on what to do. Does anyone have a similar problem?
