Baylor Scott & White Nurse Residency Program Winter 2023

Updated:   Published

Hey, I just made this to talk about the upcoming applications to Baylor!

I couldnt attend the Grad Nurse Expo for the North Texas region, so if somebody did, could you message me with some details of the information shared there?

Also, did they ever say what was the pay for this Grad residency program? Id really appreciate it!

Methodist and Parkland offered $30.50 base pay for med/surg, and Baylor offered $28.00 base pay for ICU.

Do you know what their shift differentials are?

For Methodist:

  • Evenings - 3.50
  • Nights - 4.00
  • Weekends - 6.50

For Baylor:

  • Evenings - 3.50
  • Nights - 5.00
  • Weekends - 6.00

(I think I have Baylor’s nights/weekends flipped but I can’t remember.)

I haven’t yet… It’s a tough decision. I’m wondering why Baylor’s base rate is lower than the others.

Reading the letter again, I think you also start at +1.50 if you already have your RN license and not just a graduate permit when you start. Is that right?

Baylor has pay increases as you go through the program, just like others. Go with your gut and what position you truly see yourself doing and being happy with. Congratulations on your offers!!

I was offer an Antepartum position in Dallas. Anyone else received an offer there? Would love to connect!

Has anyone had interviews this week, and if so, how did they go?

A classmate and I both had interviews yesterday for Baylor All Saints in Fort Worth! The staff was very nice. Interviews only lasted like 30 minutes.

Has anyone received any offers for ER for Baylor Dallas? I just interviewed and am waiting to hear back.
