Methodist ICU residency interviews were offered this past Sunday night. We had to reply by the next day Monday afternoon to schedule an appointment for this past Tuesday or Wednesday. The recruiter said they might be adding interview days and will keep me posted.

Parkland is $30/hr + 5k sign-on bonus (18month contract). IDK if it’s different for every unit, but neuro ICU doesn’t work every other weekend. You work 3 weekend days/nights per month, so you can knock it all in one weekend if you wanted. Evenings - 3.50 Nights - 5.00 Weekends - 6.00 If you were offered a position, you should have been given all that info.

Interviewed Wednesday morning for neuro ICU. Got an offer yesterday. Interview was with a unit manager and 3 other staff nurses.

Reading the letter again, I think you also start at +1.50 if you already have your RN license and not just a graduate permit when you start. Is that right?

I haven’t yet… It’s a tough decision. I’m wondering why Baylor’s base rate is lower than the others.

For Methodist: Evenings - 3.50 Nights - 4.00 Weekends - 6.50 For Baylor: Evenings - 3.50 Nights - 5.00 Weekends - 6.00 (I think I have Baylor’s nights/weekends flipped but I can’t remember.)

Methodist and Parkland offered $30.50 base pay for med/surg, and Baylor offered $28.00 base pay for ICU.

Thank you, but that’s just the first step. I have to get offered the job next, haha! I applied for everything ICU, but the recruiter called and scheduled a time with me for neuro. I’m suppose to receive an e-mail for the WebX link, I believe, but I haven’t gotten it yet. I wonder if she’ll send that closer to the interview time.

Hello! May I ask if Baylor utilized ECCO as their education modules? I wanted to be as prepared as I can for the ICU, so I got the AACN's ECCO just for fun. Then I wondered if Baylor would be making me do different modules or the same one.
