Baylor Scott & White Nurse Residency Program Winter 2023

Hey, I just made this to talk about the upcoming applications to Baylor!

I couldnt attend the Grad Nurse Expo for the North Texas region, so if somebody did, could you message me with some details of the information shared there?

Also, did they ever say what was the pay for this Grad residency program? Id really appreciate it!

Hey thanks! I was just wondering like what they said about the program schedule and what qualities they were looking for specifically, if they wanted an essay/references to turn in. also about relocation assistance? any little important tidbits you got from it is fine!

interesting how they didn't say pay..I've  heard from some others that they offer $27-28, but I don't know for sure. Texas Health is offering a base of $30 but it has a contract attached, and I liked that Baylor doesnt have a contract with it.

For sure ? Program schedule varies slightly by department. However, everyone will attend classroom/orientation the first 1-2 weeks and then will be with a preceptor for about 16 weeks from my understanding. Again, exact times vary by department. No essay required and references aren't required but you could. I just applied and it only allowed my to attach 3 things (resume, cover letter, & 1 reference is what I did). Online it says they'll assist with 3K I believe they didn't mention in the expo.

I know people who got offers for Oct for $27-28.50. However, I believe they'll need to raise it. I agree, I wouldn't want to do a contract.

Each location has a different amount of spots for specialties. What specialty are you wanting?

I also got an offer THR Arlington oncology. The contract is 15months so I don’t think it’s that bad considering some places do for 2 years

its actually really not considering I've seen others sign for 3+ years. But if I have the choice btw contract and no contract, id rather not do one, esp with no sign on bonus.

even if baylor does a slightly lower pay, they have no contract and they do relocation so it might be an okay trade off.....

I hope everything works out for you tho!?

Are you from out of state as well? I’m also trying to see what offers I can get from Baylor and Methodist, I applied and they both offer relocation assistance. I’m not sure of their pay rates.

Baylor's differential pay is good for nights & weekend pay!
