Hey yall! I'm making this thread to post updates on interviews and job notifications for the Baylor Scott and White Nurse Residency in DFW.

Has anyone heard back from them following an interview?

Hey there! an upcoming grad looking at residencies. Out of curiosity, when did you schedule your initial interview in which recruiters asked your areas of interest and the basic info. My first area of interest was L/D but by the time I had my interview with the recruiters, all women services units in all DFW hospitals were filled up ?

Hi! So if I remember correctly, I had my pre-screening interview with my recruiter around Feb 8 and she had me written down for a few women's services interviews and told me that Baylor follows a first-come-first-serve basis when it comes to acquiring interviews with your specialty. When did you have your pre-screening interview?

I initially had one on 2/11, but the recruiter never met with me. I reached out to several people, but never heard back. I already had one scheduled with a dallas recruiter on 2/15 and thats when she informed me that all women's spots were filled up.

That must have been really frustrating, I did not know it could get that disorganized. The first recruiter that reached out to me was for Fort Worth. I had other recruiters from other locations/campuses reach out to me later even though I already had my initial interview. How many locations did you apply to?

It was! ? I selected my pre-interview time on 2/4. Many students from my campus had the same issue, so mainly people were put on waitlist for interviews. I applied to Irving, FW, Dallas, and Temple. I have an interview with FW transplant tomorrow, and Temple Womens the on Thursday following with ED and ICU interviews. I was hopeful to stay in the DFW area

So I was told that the initial interview screening was done by one location. I had signed up for two - Dallas and FW. FW did not show up and I was told by Dallas that I can only sign up for one interview at a time and if I did not get my first choice then they will consider seeing for my second. So moreover, I only got one interview

what? I did not know that. My dallas recruiter was able to sign me up for my FW interview since my units of interest were not available in dallas. Since I applied to temple and its in central TX, that was their own separate recruiting system.

Honestly, the whole process just seemed really chaotic. When I had my initial pre-screening interview, the Fort Worth recruiter told me to cancel my interview with the Dallas recruiter because essentially they all use the same system and they can see what spots are available for all campuses. Regardless, I hope you land a job with one of those interviews, good luck!

Thank you and congrats on that offer!

I interviewed last week, but haven't heard anything yet.

My interview with CVICU went horrible yesterday but I do have an offer form another hospital, do you guys think it would be okay to send an email to the recruiter if they could possibly make a decision sooner? I'm 99% sure I didn't get the job but I'm hanging onto that 1% as Baylor is my first choice, but I do have to respond to my other offer pretty soon
