Hi y'all! I applied on Friday, ICU as my first choice, ED as second choice for a few places in North Dallas--Grapevine, Plano, Rowlett. Did anyone attend the expos?

I interview for the ICU tomorrow and the PCU on Wednesday for BAS FW.  I will give updates if I hear anything.

I just had an interview with the CVICU and pretty much bombed the interview. There were so many behavioral questions that was unlike any of the one's I found online, like tell me a time when you've follow up with a coworker regarding status of a patient, tell me a time when you've been unsatisfied with your care of a patient, tell me a time when you've put yourself in a challenging situation just to learn...I couldn't answer one of the question, I rambled and halfly answered another question, and did pretty well answering one. I'm pretty sure I BOMBED the interview....:(

I’m sure you weren’t the first one to do the same. Which location was it?

I felt like I did terrible during my interview for the Telemetry unit at Grapevine but did better for the OR interview. Some of the questions are just so specific that it’s hard to think of a situation off hand. It would be better if they were more broad.

I know, I prepared for "difficult patient" "conflict" " time when you went above and beyond" sort of questions but they were oddly specific. Like in a hindsight they are pretty easy but my brain does not work during interview, it only recites words I prepared beforehand. Sigh... Baylor was my top choice and I can tell by the facial expression of the committee that they are not interested ?

Just had my interview with with BAS FW ICU.  I feel like it went well but they asked some tough questions.  They all had poker faces so it was hard to tell how they felt about the interview.  Fingers crossed!

Those questions sound really difficult and SO specific... I do not understand how new grads are expected to be so scripted or reheorificed for scenario questions like that, especially if someone does not have any prior healthcare experience. I'm so sorry you had to undergo that though ? If it makes you feel better, I did not feel so confident in one of my interviews with Baylor and felt like the panel was extremely selective but sure enough I got an offer letter so you never know what might happen!

Hey there! Thanks for making this thread. I had an interview with L&D for Grapevine yesterday and still waiting to see if I received an offer. I have another L&D interview tomorrow for Fort Worth so I will update if I hear anything back from those.

Hey there! an upcoming grad looking at residencies. Out of curiosity, when did you schedule your initial interview in which recruiters asked your areas of interest and the basic info. My first area of interest was L/D but by the time I had my interview with the recruiters, all women services units in all DFW hospitals were filled up ?

yes, I was sent a link to meet with a recruiter 2 days after I applied (2/2) , but because the FW location was having connection issues with their virtual interviews, I was not able to schedule interviews until the following week (2/15) when I had a meeting with a dallas recruiter and seemed like I was late to the game.
