I am applying for the fastbacc program starting in May 2011 and curious if anyone has already gone through it. I don't see any threads about this program so I thought I would start one. I have an interview in 2 weeks and really nervous! Ive read the threads on nursing school interviews and am working on preparing but has anyone interviewed with Baylor specifically? What have your scores been for those that have been accepted? Do you know if it is a highly competitive program? I can get so much info about all the other Texas programs but this one doesnt seem to get much attention. Any info would be helpful!
Thanks!!!
Amanda
Cupcakes321... The people I know who have gone through Baylor fastbacc got private loans that paid for the whole thing. One girl also got a small scholarship of 3k.
My questions about Baylor's fastbacc are if the GPA people are listing is their overall collegiate GPA, ie) their prior bachelors degree plus all the Pre and Co rec courses OR is it only their Pre-rec GPA??
Second- what about the religion courses... Do the nursing students need to complete these?
....I'm asking because my undergrad gpa is bad- lets just say I just wanted that diploma in the end and never thought I'd be needing an impressive gpa for nursing school a decade later!
Do gpa mistakes in my early twenties prevent me from entrance into Baylor now as a 32 mom and career woman?!? Aaaah!
Any advice from y'all?? :))

I went to Baylor for undergrad...doing nursing school somewhere else, but I do know that nursing students are required to do religion classes.

RNNelson79, from what I know they look at either. So whichever GPA is higher they will use that one. I am in the same situation, where my undergrad GPA is just a 2.9, but they considered my pre-requisites GPA, which is a 3.6 now :). You can definitely start emailing the advisors and start getting help, bc they are awesome! I definitely still need to take some more pre-requisites (not science ones), but government, history, religion, etc. I really wanted to try to pull up my GPA, but the deadline is Nov, and the credits probably won't factor in for the deadline

Hi!
I am just applying to the Baylor fasttrack program for Spring 2013. Can anyone tell me how much financial aid they get? Thank you!
