Baylor BSN 2014 Spring Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

I was just wondering if there is anyone else applying for the 2014 spring program. It's my first time applying to a nursing school so I'm excited! My HESI is overall average 86% (not that great) and overall gpa 3.7, also I'd be considered a transfer student. Hope to hear from ya'll!

Hey Guys. Congrats on your acceptance! I have applied for the spring semester as well, but I still haven't been notified. And I actually attend Baylor University..so I wonder if they are just notifying all of the transfers first.

Congrats on yalls acceptance..I'm thinking of applying myself. Would y'all mind telling me your stats?

I stated mine in the beginning of this thread, but to be more detailed I had a total GPA of 3.73, math hesi 94, english composite 84, total average hesi 86, lastly had 3 retakes (they count that against you, but not sure how)

When I first started this thread I realized that there were hardly any people posting here for Baylor, and had no idea what kind of students they let in. There are many threads for UTA and TWU and so on, but not for Baylor! lol so frustrating. Hope that helps in some way :)

rmeans and catherinemay yes it is worth it and definitely going to look into scholarships I emailed my acceptance form. I am more than honored to have gotten accepted.

Baylorlove07, Hi there! I honestly have no idea how this process works, this was my first time applying anywhere and honestly did not expect to get accepted. When I emailed the advisor about a week ago, she said everyone would know by the beginning of July and could be as late as middle July. So when I received an email on June 28th I was completely shocked! Maybe you could try emailing/calling the advisor? Wish you the best of luck

Bsierra, My cumulative GPA was 3.91 and Hesi English composite 94% and math 88%. No retakes. I had a B in a science course though.

Have anyone, taken the 2 religion courses already. Do you have any suggestions of any online courses. I am gonna talk to the advisor, but just wanted to know the options. Thanks for your reply in advance friends!

Wantobe a RN, I had the same question. I'm signed up take one this summer and one in the fall (both at Austin Community College) but I'm not sure if they satisfy the requirement. I also looked at Dallas Community College online courses and they seemed to have a better selection, but I just don't know which ones to take. I sent an email on Monday but haven't heard back yet. Let me know if you hear anything, and I'll do the same. Thanks!

I just finished one of the religion courses thru dcccd and I am taking the second one in the fall.

How old is everyone? Is this the first degree for most of you?

I feel old! I'm 29 and married with a 2 year old. I graduated from UNT in 2009 with a BBA in General Business!

Don't feel old, crystal8302. I'm 28 now, I'll be 29 when school starts. This will be my second bachelors.

Which religion courses did you take?

I don't know which classes to take either, I emailed also and no response yet. I have to take 2 foreign language and 2 religion classes.

I have a good idea for the language classes but I am not sure which religion will do. I know baylors world religion is equivalent to philosophy 1304 (world relgion) for dcccd but have no idea for the second religion course. Does anyone know about the second religion class for DCCCD? It supposed to be either about old or new testament..

My name is Bianca btw :) I am 22 years old will be 23 once nursing school starts and have an associates from dcccd (not that it does anything lol). Yall shouldn't feel old, I had 50 something year old ladies in my micro and a&p classes going for nursing. Nobody is too old for a degree! ;) And its nice to meet yall, very excited for the spring!

It's history and literature if the Bible, Phil 1317. But she gave me a specific section number for 1317 and the other is Phil 1304.

I look forward to meeting you ladies soon!

Crystal, thank you! Do you by any chance still have the specific section number for phil 1317?

It was section 45400.

Im having trouble finding that specific class.. do you mind telling me what college it is for? Thanks for the info!

I see phil 1317-41400? :( I cant find it
