Bauder College Pleasant Surprise

U.S.A. Georgia

So I had a VERY NEGATIVE initial contact with this college. Through just ONE conversation it's apparent that this school is a for-profit. After calling the school I was transferred to their Atlanta campus...The guy answered the phone "are you coming to a information session" which COMPLETELY through me off....no hello, thank you for calling Atlanta...blah blah etc.. it was INFO session info session. He continued to cut me off, avoid all questions. and even got SNAPPY with me. Their customer service is absolutely a turn off and I don't believe this school will be a top choice for me. smh some people do not need to be in customer service... I could NOT believe this guy. Take a PTO day if you don't want to work.

wow.....you gave alot of info! I appreciate it! I had to reschedule my interview with the Nursing Dept. Had a family emergency, hope that doesnt deter them from accepting me ya know :(

know what....if the cost is cut in half, I'm DEFINITELY on board to go to school here. I'm gonna speak with the financial aid dept on Monday about that :twocents::yelclap:

Yea i tried to change the title, it won't let me.

That was such a detailed review, i appreciate you all for sharing. Definitely has influenced me in a positive way. So it sounds like the weeding out starts day one with testing, i hope they are accepting for November....this would be a miracle for sure....

HopefulNurse2011, let me know what you'd like the title to be, and I can fix it. :)

Great! Could you change it to "Bauder College Pleasant Suprise" :)

hello all!

Well the process haas begin for me. I went to the information session this week, took the Wonderlic test, passed, not i have to take the Kaplan test next week.

Unfortunately the ADN program is full for August, and more than 80% full for November and may even have a waiting list:uhoh3:. But LPN program for aug and nov is still open.....Now the question is......IF the ADN is full in November...do I go for LPN?? sigh....I want to get my foot in the door of nursing quickly so i can start working asap..but i would be devastated if they had another start time in the beginning of 2012 and I am in the LPN program.... further more i don't have any classes that transfer into the LPN but quiete a few that will transfer into the ADN program, making the cost lower than the LPN program. I know i'm putting the cart before the horse seeing aas though i have to take the KPT but i'm just thinking outload sorta speak. I wonder if you start the lpn in november could you switch to the RN program down the line there.

omg...i just was doing a google search on rn/lpn atlanta, which i do every few months just to see if a new class/school is up. because i know everest has lpn now in another state i was thinking it would come here, then i found bauder...and i was shocked i called right away today but its sunday so of course.....but first thing im calling monday, im only for lpn or rn whichever has the opening.

Looks like I gotta apply for the LPN program.......was really wanting to do the RN program....oh well.

Why what happened?

Oh nothing....I just keep hearing about the loooooooonnnnng wait list for the RN program. I'll find out for sure on Wednesday about how long the list is.

oh ok. I'm thinking about lpn backup too. but what if they have another start in the beginning of 2012? that would suck

I know right!? If I have the option of waiting til November for the RN program, I'll do so...I just wanna get it all out of the way instead of doing the bridging over from LPN to RN
