This is a forum for students planning to apply to BRCC in Spring 18' for acceptance into the Fall 18' or Spring 19' semester. I'm just looking to get to know fellow prospects and/or future classmates. Anyone that wants to discuss comments/concerns about BRCC's Nursing Program.

Do you know what is on the clinical supplies list? Or did anyone see one in the packet? I was hoping to order tonight while I have time.

The supply list is not a part of the packet. In the packet under uniforms, it says that the supply list will be provided when you go to purchase your uniform.

When do we have to get all the supplies by? I was hoping to go this weekend but wasn't turning in my acceptance until Monday. Also, when is orientation for Fall class? Thanks!!

Once you turn in your confirmation of acceptance, you have 24 hours to turn in the LSBN application, money order for 90.75, authorization for background check, and 2 sets of finger prints.

We have a nursing boot camp and a student orientation on August 8 & 17, from 9AM to 4PM. Mandatory attendance.

Hey littlebit, what are the black or white shoes for? Aka when do we wear them? Clinicals? Just wondering if we should get comfortable nursing shoes specifically or if i should use some black flats i have already.

Most of us just bought one nice pair of

white clogs :) & wear the pair to lab &

clinical. (I tried to attach a pic that has the clogs in it lol not sure if it worked)

Congrats to everyone who go in. I have a few questions if you guys don't mind. What is your gpa? How many classes did you take at BRCC? Hesi score? I have taking classes at BRCC before but all are over 5 years old. I am currently deployed and taking some classes that are accrediated. Come Spring the only class that I will need to take is my AP over since I took it in 2010 and its considered outdated. I will hopefully be taking it at BRCC if I can register before it fills up.

Hey everyone, my letter states that I am waitlisted. Does anyone have an idea about how many people get pulled from the waitlist. Thank you!

I do not think I will be waiting around BRCC for much longer. I dont see a point in retaking classes when I can take classes for my BSN and get in elsewhere. Feeling a bit discouraged and frustrated, but keeping my head up! Congrats to those who did get accepted!

Call the office Monday and ask what number you are on the waitlist. I was number 62 last year and ended up getting in. Just pray on it and keep your fingers crossed. Anything can happen!

Thanks Littlebit! Do you know how many people from the waitlist got pulled last year? or a rough estimate?

I'm not sure. And I don't wanna give you a number because it's going to vary. Ya know? No class is the same statistics wise. Like I said I was 62. So I can tell you they for sure pulled 2 from the wait list. Idk how many were pulled from waitlist in the other cohort
