Baton Rouge Community College Spring 18

This is a forum for students planning to apply to BRCC in Spring 18' for acceptance into the Fall 18' or Spring 19' semester. I'm just looking to get to know fellow prospects and/or future classmates. Anyone that wants to discuss comments/concerns about BRCC's Nursing Program.

Did anyone get the letter that states "you are unable to be admitted due to limited space"...but may be reconsidered should space become available... Is this the "waiting list" letter, or is it just a polite "you didn't get in"?

Sounds like a waiting list. I know for a fact that one person who has been accepted will not be taking/accepting their spot.

Maybe littlebit can answer for sure though. My friend didn't send me a photo, but definitely said she got a letter of denial, yours reads like a waiting list.

Hey hey :) call up there and ask what number you are on the list ! I was 62 & got in. Chances are if you're in the 60's you have a good chance!

Littlebit, do you recommend Uniforms by Bayou or Classic Image Uniforms?

Do you know which is cheaper or are they the same? And do you also need to buy the supplies through them, or can you buy the supplies through anyone? It says on my sheet that either location has a list of clinical supplies. Thanks!

Uniforms by bayou is where most of us went. They're pretty reasonable. I just bought one set of scrubs to start with then got more closer to clinical.

You can get your actual clinical supplies like stethoscope and BP cuff from anywhere. Amazon etc. just make sure it's what is required & print your receipt for Chad!

Ok thanks! I've never bought scrubs before, so I wasn't sure if there's a go to shop that most people recommend

Yeah we ordered our scissors, pen light, & a few others from amazon & just provided a receipt :) scrubs are only from those places Bc of the monogramming. Congrats everyone-& to anyone who had "limited space" I highly advise you call the office & ask what number you are on the list. If you're high up on it, don't beat yourself up Bc you may still have a chance. And even if you're not you can try again! I didn't get in my first try and I was so upset. But I tried again & second time was a charm. Good luck to everyone!

Do you know what is on the clinical supplies list? Or did anyone see one in the packet? I was hoping to order tonight while I have time.

fingerprints from LSP, $100 money order, background check, LSBN licensure application

They didn't say anything about this on the letter. How do we know when all this is due?
