There's actually no requirements for that training, just bring with you your PRC License (photocopy) and 2 1x1 pictures. Below is the schedule of training

No pretest actually, but if your interested better go to HEART as soon as you can, the training for batch 7 will commence on June 8 and next batch would start mid july..better hurry and grab a slot for you. ive talk to raissa and faitma the training coordinator, the interested participants for the training is gowing and their limiting the number of participants per batch. so hurry

nurseHarbee... may i just ask for the requirements of the heart center for their trainings?.. if ever you have some info about the date of the next batch of trainings it would be greatly appreciated... thanks:up:

You can go to Philippine Heart Center ,9Th Floor at H.E.A.R.T Foundation Inc. the next pre-enrollment for their ECG and AClS will be on tomorrow.. Goodluck!

WOW 3000 pesos for a 3 day ECG reading course that's 1000 per day GUS AVELGAS that's too MUCH for a BUM nurse like me.

]There is a better alternative to the HEART Foundation (Philippine Heart Center)'s Basic ECG Training and that is the 2-day Basic ECG Interpretation training by the Critical Nurses Association of the Philippines (CCNAPI). I attended their June 8-9 ECG training and had a great time learning about ECGs.

The training was conducted by who is the president of CCNAPI and a nursing leader from the Philippine Heart Center, St Luke's and the chairman of the Continuing Education Program of the Philippine Nurses Association (PNA). She was really patient with us teaching our class to understand ECG.

A friend who took the ECG training at Heart Center (the one with a P3,000 fee) told me that their training was mostly lectured by physicians who just babbled and read from their laptops and Powerpoint presentations. Unlike with CCNAPI, We was taught us from a Nursing Perspective and we had return demonstration on lead placements using manual and automatic ECG machines. My preceptor was former Philippine Heart Center administrator and former Board of Nursing (BON) chairman. My friend said that the one conducted with Heart Center doesn't have return demonstrations. They just show you the diagrams. Augh!

The 2-day basic ECG training by CCNAPI only costs P1,500 (for CCNAPI members) and P1,700 (for non-CCNAPI members) and includes snacks, lunch and certificate. Their next ECG training schedule will be on July 6-7; August 3-4; September 14-15; October 5-6; and November 9-10.

By the way, I don't work for CCNAPI. I just want to share what I know and my experience when I attended their workshop.

You need to pre-register at the ]CCNAPI Office located at the 8/F Medical Arts Building, Philippine Heart Center, East Avenue, Quezon City for the 2-day Basic ECG interpretation. The seminar/workshop venue is in D. Tuazon, Quezon City.

You just need to bring your PRC license and if you are member of CCNAPI, your CCNAPI membership ID so you can avail of the discount.
