Barry University SCRNA 2021

Published

Hey everyone!

Just wanted to see who all is applying for Barry University SCRNA program for 2021! Anyone have interviews yet? I have one scheduled in 2 weeks!

Any current/prior students with advice on this program?

How long did it take for your transcripts to be verified by NursingCAS? I applied on 5/31 and they still just say “Arrived”!

I applied pending my GRE, which I had scheduled for the first week of June until my testing center closed again. I have my CCRN, an A in Organic Chemistry, an A in undergrad Statistics, and my last 60 hours is about a 3.7. I put my first choice campus as Hollywood! Can anyone give us more details on the interview? What percentage of clinical vs personality questions? How many people were on your panel? CONGRATS to all who have already been accepted! I hope to be in your shoes soon!

Hi,

I submitted on June 4th and received a phone call June 15th. Hope this helps and good luck!!

I’m not sure how much we can disclose about the interview but I would say it was more of a “get to know you” style. Imagine your interviewing for a job and they don’t know anything about you, with a few clinical questions from your experience. My tip is to be confident, yourself, and more than anything grateful for the opportunity!

In regards to the question about transcripts, mine took a couple weeks to be verified through nursingcas (I know it’s daunting).

I’d always recommend following up if you’re still waiting to hear! Shows how interested you are, and I’m sure they get a large number of applicants to have to go through.

Good evening, I wanted to ask the candidates that have been selected for an interview a question. What was the time from when you submitted your application to the time you received a call for an interview? was it a phone call? was it an email? I submitted my application mid May but I have not received a call nor an email from Barry University and I have been checking my junk folder. Im not sure if I should follow up and give them a Call. Any suggestions? Congratulations to the candidates that have been selected into the program and good luck to all of the applicants

Hi! I would think reaching out is acceptable. I submitted the NursingCAS application mid May as well and received a phone call perhaps the last few days of May.

I believe they are accepting applications until November 1st. It might be beneficial to ask what can you do now until then to strengthen your application, IF they are not considering you for an early interview at this time.

Also, I'd love to connect with others who are joining the class of 2024, especially the Hollywood crew. Good luck everyone!

Hi, did you take the GRE? If so what was your score if you don’t mind me asking...

Yes, January this year. 305.

Hi guys! I'm currently in the process of applying to the program and I was wondering if the Chemistry lab can be from an Intro to Chem or Survey of Chem course.

Thank you!

Honestly, just relax (I took several deep breaths, LOL). They just want to get to know you a little better. They already like what they see on paper, so just be yourself and be truthful. You got this!
