Some members are also discussing changes to a course in the program and expressing hope and optimism about potentially getting off the waitlist.
Wanted to start thread because I have not come across a forum for the CRNA 2025 application deadline. Good luck to those applying!
I'm thrilled to share that I'm going to be a CRNA! I just received my acceptance call and letter from Barry University at their West Palm Beach campus!
Here's a bit about my background:
Clinical Experience:
I've had the opportunity to shadow several CRNAs and secured a mentor after attending a Diversity CRNA workshop in April. Additionally, I've taken advanced courses in pathophysiology, pharmacology, and health assessment.
Stay positive and trust the journey, everyone! Remember, persistence is key—if you don't give up, you will become a CRNA!

STATS
GPA 3.2 (retook OChem - A)
MICU/SICU/Neuro-CV ICU 4.5 years
ER 2 years
Currently in PreOp/PACU (developed relationships with Anesthesiologists/CRNA/AAs) Multiple shadowing experience without having the need to go through levels of approval. Simply came in on my day off and ask the Anesthesiologist running the board if I can shadow in which they appoint me to my favorite ones.
Good luck on your interviews! And those feeling discouraged or wait listed. Trust the process, reach out for feedback in regards to your interview and a great resource I recommend to check out is Diversity CRNA!! I attended back in 2019!
Congratulations! This gives me hope bc my GPA is also 3.2. I'm glad to know they're considering people with lower GPA's.

Thank you! Absolute bare minimum for programs are 3.0. Bear in mind my GPA was over 10 years ago and the only class I retook was OCHEM since it's been over 5 years. One valuable recommendation is your personality and your answers to EI questions. I've heard stories of those who have near perfect or perfect GPA and STATS and still didn't get in. The interview is the make it or break it! You got this! And strongly recommmend to network at Diversity CRNA!
Evelyn Maldonado said:Congrats! 🎉 I knew I did poorly on my interview. I should have done a mock prior, and my nerves got the best of me. All I had to do was be myself. Now to improve my profile. I will continue to work on adding a few things and will continue to shadow.
Congrats again! Hope I get a call stating im off the wait-list and accepted!
Thank you! Strongly brush up on your pharm, clinical situations, and EI questions!!
I know im late to applying - but did you guys write your whole personal essay in APA format or just listed you references in APA format. the prompt on nursing cas is unclear. I know some people who did their essay single spaced regular format and just did APA for the reference and got into the program, and I see some of you guys saying your personal essay was APA and was 4 pages including the title and reference page - meaning your essay was 2 pages double spaced?

Mine was 5 pages, including cover page and references. I double spaced and my essay only had two lines on the third page. I couldn't cut anymore. 😢

I got accepted to the Orlando campus! The wait is such a struggle but honestly, this feeling was so worth it.
Stats: 3.65 cumulative, 3.82 Nursing, 3.49 science
ED: 4 years (Level I with trauma experience), CICU/MICU: 1.5 years with all device experience except ECMO; 52 hours of shadow experience across adult and pediatric populations
GRE: 310 4.5 writing (GregMat is amazing)
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, CCRN, TNCC, NIHSS
Involvement: charge experience (havent been a charge in like 3 years), preceptor, nurse practice councils, shared governance quality, safety, and outcomes council (Hospital-wide), AACN member, Diversity CRNA member, volunteering experience.
Prep: This is my first time applying, and this is my dream, so I studied drugs, pathophysiology, and devices for months and did tons of mock interview prep (Find someone who knows what the schools are looking for to give you honest feedback) and retook classes.
The waiting game was extraordinarily stressful, but I am just beyond happy I stuck it out and was persistent in self-study. GOOD LUCK
