Barkley Review anyone?

Published

I'm FNP and just took Barkley review course. For those who did how long did you study for before taking boards and how did you study? Thanks!

I took Barkley's review approx. 2 weeks before my exam and passed. I also had taken Fitzgerald Review. I graduated 11-1-2014 and took exam 12-10-14. I studied approx 1 month. My philosophy is, if you learn the mere basics of a topic, you can usually figure the rest out with process of elimination (for test purposes).

I truly think I'm over doing things because of anxiety! I plan to take mines in March and I find myself trying to learn or memorize every item on every pg and that's not realistic! Did you use Barkley book to study? I also have Amelie review CDs I plan to use in conjunction with the Barkley review book.

Yes, I used both for studying purposes and cross referenced them. Yeah, don't try to learn all the pics, charts, graphs, etc. Just learn the basics for test mastery and the rest will come with practice.

Good Luck

I tested 4 days after taking the review. No problem, I thought the AANP was easy. My score was 617 with passing being 500 and max 800. Very happy with my scores. Good luck!
