Hello everyone! I just wanted to know if anyone applied to this program? I would also like to get some feedback on previous New Grads that went through the program. THANKS! :)
I know this is extremely late from your original post but I have to tell you THANK you soooo much for this feed! It was so helpful for my panel interview and my nerves when I applied for the August residency ... Which I got at Baptist and I can't wait to start! I don't know you but I have to say you helped more than you'll know! Thank you so much for starting this!
Congratulations shcmcm124!
I was offered a position as well! What unit were you hired for? I was hired for the NICU
Congratulations to all of you who got accepted!! You're going to love working for Baptist and the next few months are going to be tough but remember to just keep going, you'll make it through. We all know nursing isn't easy and the transition from student to new nurse is definitely not easy but with the help of your preceptors, debriefing session, Versant coordinators and fellow residents you'll survive. Again congratulations!! And welcome to the pineapple family :)

No testing at least for the med surg units. I think the specialties have much more classes with test. The only test I had was for the 3 day arrhythmia class. It's challenging in the sense that ok we know what's going on because we just came out of nursing school you have the knowledge now it's just applying it and learning the Baptist way and all the policies and paper work, charting etc. But you'll get a charting class. And you're welcome!
Hey guys, for people that still want information about the Versant Residency starting next month (Aug), here's my story! I applied online July 10th then got a call from the HR dept to setup a face-to-face interview a few days later. At the interview, I brought my Resume, RN license, Certifications, Nursing diploma, 2 Recommendation letters (from your clinical instructor/nursing professors) and the Questionnaire that was e-mailed to me. I had the interview with the HR dept and was asked general questions like "Tell me about yourself, Strengths, Weaknesses, Why Baptist, Top 3 hospitals, etc." After the interview, he explained the program to me and how it works and I was asked immediately if I would be able to come back for a 10-12 panel interview in 2 days!! Of course I said yes..My panel interview ended up being just a panel of 4 people, 2 nurse managers from Medsurg/Tele/Cardiac, nurse recruiter and a CNA. The interview questions consisted of the general questions with delegations and behavioral questions..The interview lasted about 35-40 minutes. Three days later, I got a phone call from the Recruiter team and was offered a position :] I hope this info helped people who wanted more information about this Residency..
Hello! I was wondering if anyone knows when you can start applying for the March residency. Also if it is necessary to be there in person for the panel interview. I am suppose to be abroad for parts of Jan and Feb and I didn't know if it is possible to have interviews on Skype or something similar. Thanks for any replies!
Hi Jen I just had a phone interview and it I think it went pretty well, the recruiter said she would forward my information to the nurse manager for the floor I applied for and most likely to have another phone interview. Currently I live out of state and if offered the job I would move to Miami, do you have any suggestions of which area to move to?
