Has anyone attended either Baptist School of Health Professions or SAC's schools of nursing? I want to get into an RN program, but would love to hear some insights/experiences about the above two schools before diving into the applications process. Thanks in advance for your replies!
I got a pair of scubs from Sunshine uniforms. They are Grey's Anatomy scrubs. I got them because they are super soft and comfortable. I do not have the best luck w/ scrubs fitting me right so I am really gonna look for a good pair. Patches are at the school (at least that is what I heard).
I have not found the book list yet.

P.S. I never saw a mention of the stethoscope in our package
No mention of shoes or anything of that nature. I bought a pair online (allheart.com) on clearance for 8.99! I did not get that orange sheet in my packet. Will you let me know what was on it please. I'm sure a lot of my answers would be answered if they sent me one. I'm sure saturday will be more beneficial since there will be lots more people all asking questions.
I took my pic today for our badges. We get our badges on Aug 20th I think. Oh! and make your appointment with the Health Nurse.
I just bought a pair of the Grey's Anatomy scrubs too! So comfy. The others are so stiff compaired to the Grey's. Did you get the sheet with the materials we will be needing; stethoscope, penlight, etc?
Did you already have your appointment with the health nurse, or is the health screening after processing day??
They didn't send me the student data sheet, so I have to get it first thing Saturday morning.
The supplies needed are: Wristwatch with second hand, stethoscope, 1 penlight, 1 pair of scissors, and small pocket notepad. The nurse kit #370 on the standris website is what was recommended, so I purchased it.
You can get a discount if you turn the order form in to the school during student success week. I will give you mine since I already purchased my things. PM me your email so I can send the order form your way.

I don't know about the accupacer but I thought the NET was pretty easy. I bought the study guide and did all the questions about 3 times. The only part they grade is the math and grammar but there are about 7 or 8 parts dealing with stress, study skills, comprehension, science, etc. It took about 4 hours. The math part was multiplying and dividing fractions, decimals and percents. It was all about manipulating those types of numbers. Then there was reading comprehension, spelling and sentence correction. A high score on the NET is a surefire way to get in to Baptist.
The other good thing about Baptist is that they only count the prereqs for your admission gpa. So say you have to have microbiology but you have taken history as well. Only the micro grade counts so if you have messed up in history or on other college classes they don't even care. Just prereqs count which is pretty cool I think.
