Baptist Hospital Versant Program 2016

Published

Hello everyone!

Just wanted to start a thread to those that are applying for the versant program!

. What are your top 3 specialties & hospitals?

When are you applying /applied?

GOOD LUCK :)

Hi! The one at UNF is Baptist Jacksonville, not the Versant program. I'm actually going to be at UNF tomorrow also! From what I've read about Baptist Jacksonville, it's very non-traditional. More like a speed dating type thing. If they like you, you move on to the next round. I could be wrong, but that is what I've read from this year's summer cohort. You can PM me if any other questions, since we're both going tomorrow!

Also just to clarify, the interview I had with HR was for the Versant Program for Baptist South Florida in Miami.

Does anyone know the actual start date for the versant program? My understanding is it starts in March. Also was the HR interview in person or over the phone?

I'm not sure on the exact date, but yes, it is in March. So far, I've had a phone screen with one HR representative and then had an in-person interview with another HR rep who will determine if you go on to the panel in Jan.

Hi, I have the in-person interview on Monday. Can you tell me what questions did they asked you and how is the process for that interview?. Best of luck and thanks for any info you can provide me with.

:)

Hi! If this is an interview with HR or a recruiter, this is what happened for me: bring all of your required documents! License (if available), BLS, 2 letters of rec, and degree. I was told I didn't need it for the interview by one person and then was asked for it-but it's okay if you don't have it right then and there, you would just have to give it to them when you do. My interview wasn't very long, basic questions like "why nursing" "tell me a time when..." and so on. Then was told about the program. Also, don't forget to SMILE! My interviewer noticed that was the first thing I did and is one of the reasons I moved on to the next round. My interviewer then gave me info about what to expect next and some helpful tips to overcome the internal fear of interviewing with a possible 16 people! I hope that helps and good luck! If you have any further questions, feel free to PM me :)

thank you for the quick replied. I had the phone interview today with HR and the one Monday will probably be with the recruiter. I was told today by HR that I did not need the letters of recommendation now if I didn't have them. I have one but need to go to school to get the other. When you mean degree how do you get that or what did you print online? I ordered my BSN degree but have not received it yet. I do have my BLS. Is it possible for you to send me those tips?. :) I tried to PM you but cant find the PM buttom lol. thanks

What kind of questions did HR ask you?

Very basic questions like "why nursing", "why Baptist" and few behavioral questions. It wasn't hard and HR is very nice and comforting. I actually just accepted a Pediatric GN program at another hospital, so I will be withdrawing from Baptist.

Anyone get any more interviews? I went to my HR interview right before the new year in December but they haven't called to schedule a panel yet. I've been calling but they said to just be patient and wait by the phone. Does anyone have any updates they can provide. Thanks!
