I interviewed for the nurse fellows program through Banner about three weeks ago and still haven't heard anything! I was talking to another girl there for an interview who said that her friend (I know, I know, don't listen to anything like this, but I can't help it!) got a call a week after her interview offering her a slot. Has anyone else interviewed and heard anything?
I don't know why I'm so freaking out about it. I'm already accepted into Mesa to start in January (I deferred) but I WANT TO GET INTO THIS!
Yayyyy for you Qaqueen (starting block 1)!!!
The interview was about 20 minutes. Earlier in this thread they listed what was covered. Tell me about yourself, they asked questions directly from their mission statement: describe a situation where you demonstrated ________ (excellence, compassion, placing people first, you took charge of a situation w/results.....). There were about 5 questions, I do believe.
And thanks everyone for your encouragement.
Hello Everyone-
I applied to the Banner Fellows program and had an interview in April. I still haven't received a letter from Banner letting me know if I have been accepted to the program for July 2008. Has anyone heard from Banner for this cohort? I am trying to wait patiently, but I am not doing a very good job! It has been 5 weeks since my interview!
I still haven't gotten anything yet either. But the letters were just sent out on Friday so depending on where you live and how long the post office took to process it depends on how long it takes to get it to you. I live in Mesa and it didn't come over the weekend or yesterday so I am thinking it will come today. I am crossing my fingers. Good luck to you too!

I was SO sure I bombed my interview that I just wanted to get home and crawl into bed!!
On the way home, in the June heat, during rush hour traffic and me in my "business attire", the car in front of me got hit and spun into the concrete median barrier.
The good news, the driver had minor injuries, the better news, it made me feel like there was at least a reason for me to be out driving in rush hour traffic in the heat. I stayed with her until the paramedics got there then set out for home again.
By the time I got home, I was glad to have something to talk about instead of the interview, because I still knew I bombed it!
I started Block One this week.
