Do you use a rolling backpack?
Seriously, those things are embarrassing:bag: It's like-- Good Luck not disturbing EVERYONE you walk pass with that godawful sound! Good luck traveling on uneven ground! Good luck getting that thing up the steps! Good luck WHEN the handle breaks!
OH MY GOD. This times infinity! *bows to you*
I didn't read every comment, so I'm not sure if this has been said...but, I would find a sturdy, and cheap backpack for your nursing books. I have a friend/classmate that spent quite a bit of money on a very cute pack and by the middle of the semester it was ripping. My cheap 15 dollar bag lasted all semester. I know all programs are different, but our nursing classes consisted of several extremely large and very heavy books...so I think sturdiness is key. Mine is made of a military type canvas material and it has lasted nicely :)
I also thought ughh rolling backpack I'm too young until I hurt my neck/shoulder carrying my 3 religion books & a bible last semester. Those books r small compared to my nursing books lol. So I bought a cute $25 rolling bag with nurse design. My program has us taking only 2 classes but have 7 books. So for ppl saying u can carry everything in ur hand. Plz not all programs r the same. Plus then we have stethoscope, BP cuff, light pen (I know that's small) but u get what I mean its a lot. Plus I need to eat!! My lunch bag fits also. Saves ur back, time & piece of mind not having to figure out where everything is or if u forgot something.
I had a regular back pack from Walmart when i was in nursing school. I put my folder, pen case, portable mini recorder, and lunch food (cafeteria food sucks at my school). I leave my big Med/Surg book either in the car or at home. I only use it as a reference if i needed to add any info to my notes.

I used a large scrapbooking tote with wheels and a couple of handers on either side. It saved my back and I didnt carry my purse so I put EVERYTHING in the one bag, snacks, books, binders, etc.
