How did you know that he/she is your assessor and not the registration administrator?

Hi all. I called the CNO today and had spoken to a Customer Service Rep. She explained to me that my Registration Administrator is also my Assessor BUT ( I am a bit confused here) she is not the one assessing my file. It is actually sent to another department and it is a whole team who actually is assessing the files. When a decision is done, My Registration Administrator/Assessor receives the decision and she thus send the decision to the applicant. :p

Hi. Your file will be assessed and reviewed by the Registration Committee then they will send their decision to your Assessor. Good luck.

This is more like it. Gives a better picture of the process as it is highly doubtful that an applicant will be able to make contact with the person who's going to decide whether their qualification/s will be approved or not.

Exactly!

I was able to speak to my admin aministrator and she was quite helpful, but every time I asked she said it was being sent to the assessor so I guessed they weren't the same person :)

I'm so upset, I called my assessor today to follow up about my assessment, then i found out that they haven't receive my job description. that's the last document they need. It's been 3months since I send my documents, It's so upsetting that I'm waiting for nothing for almost 3months :(

Sorry to hear that. My Assessor/Case Handler is diligent enough to update me everytime new documents on my name arrives her office and clearly states on all her updates the documents/requirements that are still missing. :)

Its good that you called them up

I know. Good for you. It's been one year since I send all my documents to them. And my assessor said that if they receive my job description it would be in the system, the thing is if they don't really receive it, it will return to me.. haaay.. it's just so upsetting.. :(

Are you sure you are speaking with your Case Handler or the Cust Ser. Rep.? Because the Case Handlers/Assessors are the ones who updates the system. The Customer Service Rep can only read whats on the system. I had once a problem re: missing documents too. It is important that all the documents we requested from abroad are Registered Mail so we can track them. That way as well, using the tracking system online (fedex etc...) If CNO recieved it, somebody should have signed the receipts :)

yes, i spoke with my assessor. she said she'll check my docs to and give me a call tom. I hope she will find it. but anyway, how long does it take to find out the result of the assessment? I apply for a RN though.

How long does it take the CNO registration committee to make a decision?
