This is one of the saddest posts I have read. It makes me angry and....as you said, CseMgr1, sitting here in disbelief. I will save the link and hopefully, we can find out what's what.

Police are trying to determine why the home owner had the arsenic and why he kept it with the water jugs, Waters said.
There are some things that ppl don't realize are a bad idea until something bad happens, but how IGNORANT can you GET???

LESSON LEARNED: Take your own water bottles when going to someone else's home, especially to have available for the babies and children. How sad indeed!

I wonder what the followup will show. Something about this scenario doesn't make sense...

It is very sad.
From what I have read the owner of the home that this occured at used the arsenic as weed killer. Investigators have said they haven't found evidence that this poisoning was intentional, but they are trying to determine how he apparently confused a labeled plastic bottle of arsenic with similar containers full of spring water.
He's an elderly man and this could very well have been a tragic mistake which he will have to live with for the rest of his life.
