How aweful! Can you imagine! I thank goodness that we have strict regulations for our equipment and hospitals in this country. We really take it for granted.

I didn't understand the cause of the fire. Did a phototherapy unit short out?

I agree. My mouth about dropped open when I read the part about how neither a nurse or a physician was even in the room.
It must have been a bad place because they were also using heaters that plugged up.

Oh my goodness....I cannot imagine that horror, nor the grief of those parents. How sad.

That is horrible. I can't believe that a "senior doctor" ordered the the nursing station be moved away from the nursery. Seriously!!! How could there have been NO ONE in the nursery at the time??? This totally could have been prevented.
