Hi all!

I'm applying for APU's ELM program for Spring 2017 and I was curious to see who else was applying :) maybe we could chat about the application process!

Yeah, the video is very informative and answered most of my questions.

I think they are just testing to see if your writing style/skill matches what you submitted for your letter to the dean. My prompt asked me whether I thought children should be given chores or not, and why. She didn't look at it when I was there, so I'm assuming they just glance over it. I don't think that it's worth any points.

lol thats a weird prompt, but I understand why they make you write the prompts. I applied at the SD program.

Did they mention when they will get back to you about the decision.

She told me that they would notify us by mail sometime around the middle to end of May. That's so far away! í ½í¸­

Hey pvirk! I remember at the info session they said that we'll hear back around beginning to mid May after all the schools meet. I'm applying to the SD campus as well! When is your interview?

April 19th! I think that's the last day they do interviews.

Did they ask to elaborate about particular things from your resume or about certain experiences?

Any questions about why Nurse Practitioner, instead of just why nursing?

No, they didn't. At least not in my interview. I including my "why nurse practitioner" reasons in my answer to the "why nursing" question though.

I had the interview as well. They asked me the same questions as briforsure said. I was also told that the result will be notified in late May. Good luck everyone!

KChope, the interview was laid back like others have stated. The writing prompt first then the interview. Got some information about the program while I was there. It was a good experience.
