Azusa Pacific University ELM Spring 2017

Published

Hi all!

I'm applying for APU's ELM program for Spring 2017 and I was curious to see who else was applying :) maybe we could chat about the application process!

Hi All! Congrats briforsure and LilFrown! I applied to the Inland Empire campus. Has anyone received any news from the IE campus?

Hi All,

I wanted to put everyones mind at ease. I just called the SD campus and they told me we will not find out for Spring 2017 for a little while longer. She said she doesn't know how anyone knows their acceptance as of now but to relax. It could take as long as June until we know something. So if you were like me and refreshing your browser every 10 seconds and freaking out like a crazy person... you can now breath for a whole minute! Hope that helps anyone stressed out about not hearing back. I also looked at past posts and found that rejection letters could be sent electronically but most acceptances where done over the phone and mail, however strange emails showing sign in credentials for the cohort could be sent before acceptance and that kind of gives it away :-)

Hope that helps!

I just received an email from APU saying that my graduate status has been updated. I have an APU email address set up.. hoping that's good news, right?

It is! I've read that on posts from previous cohorts. I think that means you got in :)

Thats huge KChope!!!! YAY!

I just received a phone call from the SD campus saying that I was accepted for the summer semester! Hoping I'll get bumped up!

Congratulations KChope!! That's so exciting! :)

I just received "the mysterious email" allowing me to log into APU. From past forum discussions this could be good. I am holding my breath for the phone call that should follow it soon.

Congratulations GCNorthrim! I think that means you're in!!!!!!! Hooray! I think that they're going down the list of people they call. They called me a few afters after I had received the email.

Thanks KChope! I did get the call like you said, a few hours after. I am quite ecstatic and thankful we don't have to wait till June like I was told WooHoo!

Hi everyone, congrats to those who have been accepted. I'm a little bit confused about the program. I know that the program 4 years to complete, does it only cover the msn portion or does the 4 years include the specialty track such as FNP?.

Hi miyaerlegi,

The program includes the MSN portion, which qualifies you to take the FNP exam. So at the end of the 4 years you will be FNP through passing the exams.
