Azusa Pacific University 2011/2012 Applicants

U.S.A. California

Hello all,

I'm applying to APU's NP program this January and am sooo excited and nervous! I'm really trying to get accepted to start in Fall 2011 as I don't want to wait until spring 2012. This is my first choice (I've already applied to another school here) and I've GOT to get in! Is anybody out there waiting for decisions or has advice for the application process? I would've applied sooner, but they just implemented a rule where you have to have 12 completed credits for science, so I had to wait until grades got posted.

WOOHOO! CAN'T WAIT TO START!

When did you apply? Were you a part of a different cohort previously and they asked you to move up? I applied for summer 2012 and was told we should find out around the end of August.

I applied for summer 2012 and received a call today that I was accepted for the Spring of 2012.

Hi Tobogan9610,

I applied for summer 2012 too and found out I'm in at the SB location. I got a call last week or the week before. Are you in too??

I haven't heard yet. I applied for both SB and SD with SD being my primary. May I ask you what your approximate stats were? My interviewer informed me I would hear around the end of August beginning of September. Is that what they told you? Getting really nervous now. Were all your prereqs completed?

I was told we'd be informed in August, and that was about right since I heard back at the beginning of August. I had all my prereqs complete, yes. Low undergrad gpa (around 2.9) but mostly A's in prereqs. Good luck!! Let me know if you get in!!

I got an email just now saying "welcome to Azusa Pacific University." It told me to activate my APU network? I applied to the San Diego campus and am waiting to hear back. Does everyone get this email (to check admission process) or is this a good sign?? AH im so nervous!

When did you apply? Perhaps you're IN but they haven't sent you the letter or called you yet? I know I'm in for Summer 2012 and I also got that email telling me to activate my account. Congrats in advance if you are in!!! Let me know which campus you've been accepted to and for what term! :)

Ahh I dont want to get my hopes up! I applied for the Summer 2012 program- SD campus. I should be getting my letter any day now. When I activated my account- under the application process it said "Complete" but it did not say accepted. Does your's say "accepted." What campus are you going too?!

Mine still says "completed" too, however I received my letter and call already so I'm not sure if it just takes them a while to change that status on the website. I applied to SD also, but told them I'd be open to going to either SD or SB to increase my chances. I got into SB, which is fine. I'm down for any location, but what concerns me is that to complete the masters classes, I'll have to move to either the azusa campus or SD campus since the SB one doesn't offer the masters courses (I think! I'm pretty sure I read that somewhere. I should email them to ask). But anyway, exciting stuff! Do you live in SD already?

I think the APU account means you've been accepted to the APU graduate school.... now you have to be accepted to the nursing program. I have been accepted (by phone then email) and it still doesn't says accepted and the website, so don't go checking it every day like I did =) Good luck!

v98ginger and justinek . . .

around the time of your acceptance did you get an email that stated your apu account was being transitioned to reflect graduate student affiliation?

Yes, right after that I got an acceptance email =)
