Hello! I thought this board would be way more active since the deadline is coming up. I'll be ready to submit everything on monday and will be mailing my transcripts the same week. I don't know much about this program...I'm going for FNP. My GPA isn't too great but I have a lot of experience and I think my essay turned out well. I also applied to Concordia Irvine.

Hello,

Is everyone that is applying to Azusa very religious? I'm curious as to how concerned with religion everyone is, and whether that will play a factor in admissions. I am not religious at all, and have no religious affiliation. I also consider myself to be very liberal.

I was interviewed and told I am very likely to get into the program! My advisor told me to expect an acceptance letter in the mail! I will be attending the Azusa campus! SO ecstatic!! Best of luck to everyone!! :up:

I applied for the same thing! Best of luck to you! My GPA could have been way better but my overall experience, letter to the dean, letters of rec, etc. helped my cause! I think they are very good about looking at the applicant as a whole! I'm sure you will be hearing something soon! :)

I am Christian. I don't believe everyone that applies to Azusa is necessarily religious but I do know there are a few religion based courses in this program. Undergraduate are required to attend chapel, not sure that is a requirement for graduate students. For the interview they do ask if you are in any faith based activities. Best of luck!

I was interviewed a week ago and I think it went well. It was very relaxed, the prompt was very straightforward and the interview was mainly going over my GPA and experiences/community service. The only questions I was asked was "Why Azusa Pacific?" and "How did you hear about this school"

I applied to the San Diego Campus. Does anyone know when they will be informing everyone? and anyone else who applied for San Diego?

I'm glad to hear that! My interview was essentially the same thing. Mine was rather informal and the lady interviewing me talked about her experience in nursing and how she started quite a few nursing programs in southern California. She was really sweet and talkative. I remember leaving thinking.. Was I asked anything? Haha! I was told that they were running behind on interviews so we will be getting letters in the beginning of August.

Hi! I had my advisement a few days ago and it went pretty well. The professor said I have a really good chance of getting in so I'm really hoping it's true. She said they won't meet until mid August to discuss because the dean is on vacation and we will find out by early September. Hopefully we'll find out sooner

That's so awesome to hear!! I'm sure they wouldn't be telling people such things unless there was a high probability! Oh my goodness, that's a while to wait! What campus did you have your advising appointment at? I wonder if that is true for all campuses...Best of luck to you! Keep me in the loop!

I had my advisement at the Campus in Monrovia and she told me most of the courses for the ELM program will be held there. Yeah I'm really hoping they will let us know sooner because I was accepted into the RN program for PCC and they start the end of August. Azusa is my first choice so I'm really hoping they'll let us know before so I can decline PCCs acceptance.
