I'm new to this site. I recently graduated in May 2008 and I took the RN NCLEX last Thursday 14th of August. I got about 183 or so when the computer shut down. I live in California and sfeel so unease waiting for the result. I would say it was a tough exam and I got lots of analysis and prioritization questions.
How long does it take for candidates in California to get the RN NCLEX exam result? What can I do to remain patient?
I don't know about California but I applied to sit it through Vermont and although they said I wouldn't find out for 3-4 weeks when I went on to the boards website 5 days after I sat the exam and searched my name I was there listed as a registered nurse, which meant I had passed. Try doing that with the CA website I am sure they must be the same. Good luck!!!
I took mine on aug 14 also and just checked this morning and no luck so far. I am really scared and afraid. God help us all in this miserable test. I got one math couple of SATA,and lots of meds, teaching, who would you see first, what would you do first. I found some of the questions were almost word for word from what I had studied.....Kaplan, Saunders, and Lippincott.

Ca will not publish RN names on their website without a complete file and a SSN. Ca will allow you to sit exam without a complete file although not foreign trained nurses . Foreign trained nurses applying generally do not have a SSN if not already in the US with a valid visa which allows them to apply for one so they have to wait anything from 3 weeks to 8 weeks for their results via mail
i also checked the BRN website today but still i do not see my name posted there... i am beginning to lose hope already..Its just hard to wait and not knowing whether you passed or not... God help us..!
I took mine Sat. Aug. 16th and am freaking out! It shut me out at 75 and I had tons of check all that apply and meds that I had never heard of! I felt like I was guessing the whole test. I think I failed. I am in Louisiana and we can find out in 48 hours. I feel for those who have to wait longer! Does anyone that has done quickchek know if you take on Sat. if you get results Mon. or Tues.? Good luck to you.
The quick result depends on your State. I know CA does not participate in the quick result check. My friend in FL was able to get his result I believe within 36hrs.

Please don't lose hope yet. I tried to reach the BRN today, I was told different times. One said a wk, another said a month. But I'll try see about this wk. Remain hopeful....
