  1. I don't know about California but I applied to sit it through Vermont and although they said I wouldn't find out for 3-4 weeks when I went on to the boards website 5 days after I sat the exam and searched my name I was there listed as a registered nurse, which meant I had passed. Try doing that with the CA website I am sure they must be the same. Good luck!!!
  2. Yes it really doesn't matter how long you take to sit the exam, as long as you finish within the 6 hours. I sat and passed mine in May this year. It took me less than two hours and I answered 75 questions before it shut off.
