Average pay for Southern California Lvn?

Published

I've been a LVN for 5 years and gainfully employed for 3 1/2 of those years. My current employer hasn't given raises in 3 years. I love my patients and grateful for the experience/opportunity. I'm not by any means complaining but rather in need of a better paying job. I start school this fall to complete prerequisites for the RN program. I have Vent/Trach, G-Tube, Colostomy care experience and IV Certification. I'm looking in the Inland Empire and surrounding areas. Any suggestions my fellow nurses? Any information you have will be greatly appreciated. ☺

Specializes in CNA, LVN, RN.

LTC in Pasadena, CA $23. I have 1 year exp. I believe that was the starting pay for LVNs there.

Specializes in TBI and SCI.

Im in San fernando valley- my home health job is $18 ( I don't so the visits thing, I'm at the pt. home aaaallll day) and my second job is at a treatment center and its $19.... I just started working as an LVN in November, so barely an experience....

I been LVN for 3 yr I work for a non profit organization for 2 1/2 yr now, pay $21.63. Non profit organizations are base on grant funds, so there no potential of raises any time soon.

I recently got phone interview with Kaiser and start pay for LVN level 1 is $25.47hr with full benefits

Lvn in laguna hills, working Home health for 4 years now..I get 37-40$ per visit, full benefits and in 2015 net 60K.

Specializes in Med/surg, Tele, educator, FNP.

I graduated in 2006 and in Orange County acute care they started me off at 17/hr

I'm in the inland empire and I make 16.50 doing private duty nursing. I know it's on the low side, but its allowed me to work and still recover from a previous car accident. It's also good because im trying to go back to school for my RN this fall, and if I get in I will be able to work and study in my downtime.
