Hi everyone! I’m currently a student at AVC wanting to apply to the LVN Program for next fall. I know it’s a bit early to make this topic since the applications for next year aren’t available yet and the classes for this fall’s program hasn’t started.
I actually created this topic because I wanted to discuss about the requirements needed for this program. I have already done all the coursework that is stated in the application except that I currently am not holding any degrees. What I wanted to know is if I would be able to get into the program by just submitting my high school and AVC transcript along with my Education plan with those completed courses without any degrees. Also, if anyone knows, what is the minimum amount of points to get in?
Other than that, feel free to use this topic to ask any questions or to voice any concerns you guys might have about the program. Some things may be confusing for some people so let’s help each other out! ?

Hey, I don’t think that would be an issue. The email is just the best way they could reach out to you.
I haven’t received anything either. The wait is killing me tbh. The initial email did say to check throughout early May too so there’s still hope. Maybe the day will be tomorrow or next week. Staying positive for all of us ??

I also got into the program! I got an acceptance letter on April 20th.
Congratulations!! So excited for you! By any chance do you mind saying how many points you applied with? I’m curious how many points would be considered competitive. Thank you in advance! ?

I haven’t heard back either. I looked up the forum for the 2022 RN program to see when they get their acceptances and I believe they said they were supposed to get theirs late April- early May as well. No one responded in that forum if they got their acceptances yet so I’m honestly hoping they’re still reviewing the applications for LVN.
Also has anyone tried contacting the people in charge of reviewing the applications? I kinda want to email at least the nursing counselor to see if she knows anything about it but don’t want to annoy her if students have tried contacting her & not responding.

I looked at the fall 2022 schedule for the classes for the program so if I’m correct I think 31 spots . Not 100% sure.
@Kassyx I called the Health and science office I think a day or two after the 20th since we heard from two girls on here they had received an acceptance email. I ask if they were done sending out all acceptances to which I was told they were not done reviewing yet. She told me that before any denial letters were sent out they had to fill out the spots first.
It made sense to the timeline because I believe the first person said in their email they had a deadline to accept by the 29th of April. By the sounds of it they are sending out more emails in the event not all spots were accepted by the deadline.
As the days go by I am getting more and more anxious, but still holding onto hope! Let's keep it positive!

I am in the same boat, but don't lose out hope. It is hard and I understand because of the days that pass by. I sent an email to one of the nursing counselors, hopefully she can give insight on whether or not they are done with the decision process.
Would you mind sharing with how many points you applied with?

I also put my personal email, so I hope it isn't a problem.
