Hello friends,
I know it's extremely early for this, but I wanted to create a forum for the Spring 2021 applicants for ACC! We can keep in touch here if anyone has questions about the application process or just the program in general. Happy applying y'all! I'm excited to start my future career as a nurse!

It’s so frustrating because I know there are shortages and I’m ready to work. Seton especially- I probably apply there 2-3 times a week and always get turned down!!
If you are already doing your Nursing skills classes then, getting into the PCT position won't be hard. They take the nursing students as PCT without the certification. I hope it helped.
Hi guys! I registered in RR campus F 8:30 AM - 12:20 PM. I am worried that it will be online learning and only 4 hours in week. I just finished Ethics, and still taking A&P 2, actually retake it, trying to get a better score ?
English is my second language, and communication is my weak spot, it is what makes me feel very anxious, so after I will be done with A&P it what I plan to work hard on. A lot of worries and anxiety, but hope for better ?

Hi Lesia,
you don't have to worry about communication skills at all. you will be fine. It will come to you. As a matter of fact, I'm also a very hesitant person but nursing school prepares you to let go of the anxiety and fear for sure. take care and good luck ?

Thank you, your words make me feel better! I wish you the best of luck as well!

Oh WOW!, I also registered for the exact same session and campus! I wonder if they're going to do the class online or in-person. I'm worried, especially with COVID still out there.

Oh sweet! I honestly kind of hope that this class will be in-person, just since I feel like it'll be a lot easier to learn essential nursing skills that way and I feel like this class should be more hands-on... but I would totally understand if it's online so that we can reduce the chance of any of us getting COVID.
I know that when I registered it said "virtual class meeting" or something like that, so I'm assuming it's going to be all online until we hear otherwise.
There is no way I could see you guys doing the skills class virtually. There are things they teach in that class you have to have your hands on for it to click (manual BP for example). I truly hope you guys get to do it hands on (in the safest way possible since obviously covid is an issue). And just as encouragement I absolutely bombed my first skills check off because I was so nervous but passed with flying colors on the others so if you bomb the first one like me LOL don’t stress it’ll get better! Good luck!!

Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know that you will need to purchase scrubs, a stethoscope and manual sphygmomanometer and the textbook "Nursing Fundamentals" by Potter and Perry, 2020 edition, for RNSG 1105. I didn't know for sure how many things would need to be purchased until I read the syllabus on Blackboard on Friday. Just a heads up.
