Hello friends,

I know it's extremely early for this, but I wanted to create a forum for the Spring 2021 applicants for ACC! We can keep in touch here if anyone has questions about the application process or just the program in general. Happy applying y'all! I'm excited to start my future career as a nurse!

Hi Dimple03,

I've been using this grade calculator: https://www.rapidtables.com/calc/grade/GPA-calculator.html

Classes that have a lab have 4 credits, whereas classes that do not have labs are 3 credits. You can just input all of that information under the "GPA calculator".

Hi Dimple03,

I've just been using a grade calculator online to compute my GPA. Just Google "GPA calculator" and use one of those websites to input your grades! Classes that have labs are considered 4 credits, and classes that are without a lab have only 3.

Hi everyone,

I'm applying this week or next. If anyone hasn't seen, they are waiving HESI requirements for admission due to COVID. Going straight off GPA and application review points. This could be a good thing or a not so good thing depending on who you are. Personally, I am glad that I don't have to sit through the HESI.

I'll be applying this week too! I just got my immunization forms and everything approved. Since admissions are going to be based largely on our GPA, I think my only main concern is how cut-throat admissions are going to be. I believe the highest rank you can have now is 34 points if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, you're correct. I have 30 points based on that figure. I'm missing Ethics which I am taking this fall. Hopefully that's enough. Don't forget you're also competing against re-applicants who get more points.

Oh that's right. I completely forgot that re-applicants get additional points. I'm also sitting at 30 points as well! I guess I'm just a little nervous since I'm not sure what the cut-offs will be for this year. I hope we'll both get in!

If 34 is the maximum for first time applicants, I imagine the cutoff will be reasonable. It really depends on how many re-applicants they have (how good their GPA's are as well) and how many qualified first timers they have. Not all re-applicants have great GPA's. Some may even tie us with points b/c they get extra review points, but they may be carrying C's and B's. They used to give an extra point if you are a tech/CNA/EMT but they do not do that anymore.

Hi guys! Is anyone else a re-applicant? I have a question about a co-req if so!

Hi everyone! I got the petition to register for the Summer 2020 session of nursing skills beginning July 6. Anyone else in that session?

Did they start sending out petitions today? I haven't gotten an email yet, but I believe they send them out depending on early you applied?
