Austin Community College ADN Spring 2021

Hello friends,

I know it's extremely early for this, but I wanted to create a forum for the Spring 2021 applicants for ACC! We can keep in touch here if anyone has questions about the application process or just the program in general. Happy applying y'all! I'm excited to start my future career as a nurse!

I made an EVC fb group! I don't use fb too often so hopefully I made it correctly.

Also, does anyone know if we're supposed to do only the clinical requirements right now, or the second criminal background check too, for those who have been accepted? In the email they said to start on clinical reqs for orientation but the deadline for the second criminal background check is Dec 1 which is getting close so I'm kinda confused...

I submitted my background check today. I’m not sure you can do much until that comes back

Sorry in advance, I'm asking a lot of possibly dumb questions here but I was wondering if anyone filled out the Student Reference/FERPA form yet?

If you did, did you ask/email someone to become your reference or did you just put a name and submitted it without asking your reference person? And what did you check on the list, because I'm not sure if I'm supposed to fill this out for "admission to another education institution"/"all educational institutions to which I seek admission" or just leave all those blank since the ADN program is still within ACC so technically I'm not going to another institution??

I feel like I'm overthinking something that's supposed to be super easy to do LOL

Honestly I’m confused one this as well I was gonna ask someone already in the program.

As far as everything else you can do almost everything! I’m working through the list this week & I have a CPR class on Friday.

Did you get your answer?  It's just a form to keep on file of they ever need to reference for you. One time form,  sign off.
