Austin Community College ADN Spring 2021

Hello friends,

I know it's extremely early for this, but I wanted to create a forum for the Spring 2021 applicants for ACC! We can keep in touch here if anyone has questions about the application process or just the program in general. Happy applying y'all! I'm excited to start my future career as a nurse!

I got mine! Last name D. Last time I had a 34.8. This time I have a 37.42!! So the way I’m thinking is if it were a normal semester with a HESI it would be a 47.26! So just try to think of it that way to get an understanding of it compared to last year.

I think they forgot to add review points for reapplicants.. and I’m confused a little bit

Yeah they sent out an email that they have to resend them. I don’t even know how they calculated mine when I try to it doesn’t match theirs LOL. I’m gonna wait and see what the resent one looks like. It also looks like they got the amount of courses I’ve taken wrong. It shows them all but in the portion that says # of courses it says 6 but I’ve taken 8

Same here. I've taken all the co-reqs but only have 6 in the box on the right. I don't know if they count nursing skills but I did that too. Don't know if that's part of the corrected email?

I don't think it's possible to have 37 points this time around.  I got my ranking though, about 20 minutes ago.  They said they messed up with some review points for re-applicants and were resending the emails for those people.

Hopefully. And aren’t we supposed to have 12 review points total? 6 from our first application & 6 from this one. That’s what I was thinking is part of the discrepancy. I’m pretty sure they’re supposed to count skills

I'm a first time applicant so no extra points for me? . So if they do count everything  I am definitely missing a class. Sent the email and now just gotta wait.

I don't think they do count Skills...they didn't for me, anyway.  They've said they won't count it unless it was finished before the application deadline and this was my first time applying so I took it this Summer.

Yeah, same for me. Did you do all the co-reqs? I did them all and  still at 6.

Question: does anyone else have all but your Skills 1105 grade and still only have 6 courses (so a perfect first time app 4.0 x 7 + 6) but I have all my classes except skills and it had only 6 classes, not 7

Yeah. It’s weird though because they final ranking is calculated correctly but it just says 6 on the sheet.
